Like pointed out, I got sick of trying the other methods. MotionJoy is basically spyware, and xinputwrapper takes away your bluetooth adapter and you need a second one that uses a completely different driver in order to get it to work, which isnt as easy as it sounds. So I gave up on those and bought this adapter.
The setup was relatively simple, although the instructions did not list some steps I had to do in order to get it right. First, desync the PS3 controller from the PS3 before you start the installation process or it may not find the controller when syncing with the PC - if you have your PS3 in range. Second, it tells you to hold the PS button until the flashing stops - mine never stopped flashing. So after about 10 seconds I let go and it the player one LED lit up and all was well anyway.
In Steam Big Picture it all works fine, and in the two other games I tried out, everything worked perfectly in xinput mode. I haven't tried directinput mode but I would assume it works in games that support that.
The only negatives to using a system like this are that you can only have one xinput device synced. I am not sure why this is when the xbox adapter allows up to 4. However if you are ok with directinput you can use 4. That is the major reason I gave it 4 stars. If it allowed 4 xinput devices I would easily say this is a 5 star product. The other issue is that there is no way to check the controller battery - but this is the case no matter how you connect to the PC. So just make sure you plugin to charge when you can. I have a charger for the other PS3 controllers so I just plugin to that every night.
If anything changes Ill update.
Useful product to make your PC like a standard console

Well initially I wrote a very bad review because I wasn't able to synchronize. Was because I was not using a cable data but instead a charge only cable. I purchased a PS3 standard cable and I easily synchronized 4 gamepads with the wireless adapter and it works in PES2016 (game that is in Steam platform) It works.Images worth more than 1.000 words:
