I've now linked this with my YESKAMO solar powered security camera (using the solar panel as a power source) and it's GREAT. The solar panel for the YESKAMO is providing enough charge to power both systems!!! totally awesome!!!! I flopped positions of the cameras but left the solar panel in place, purchased a "y" micro USB cable and split the "feed" cable of the panel into both cameras.
I got this handy little cam for my home to add another level of security - wasn't sure what to think of it being battery operated at first but I have been pleasantly surprised.
I've had the camera guarding/monitoring a portion of my home for the past several weeks and it's been GREAT. It's in a medium traffic location and the battery has powered thru for 10+ days before I needed to take it down and recharge it.
Motion detection is spot on. I have it set up to send me an alert and I get a 10 second vid of the action. You can choose up to 20 seconds.
Oddly enough I can't get it to recognize the 64Gb MicroSD card that I've installed. I've reformatted and rebooted the Cam numerous times and still no luck - not a big deal, I'll just switch it out with a smaller 32Gb SD card to see if that works.
I've attached a Vid for your viewing pleasure.
The App is easy to use and set-up. I've created my schedule and alerts and the camera had the option of being drilled into a wall or using a magnetic base. I'm currently using the magnetic base. As you can see in the photo the size is quite small and even has a cute rounded shape to it.:-)
The fact that it's battery operated makes it great for being a perfect power outage security device and even for semi-off the grid living. Very cool!!!!
So, am I happy? INDEED!! Reasonable price, very good product, stylish, user friendly and just another level of protection that gives that extra added peace of mind:-) I'll update once I throw in a different SD card.
