I'm about 5 miles via 'crow fly' from the airport weather station, and in mid day when they post the temperaure at 90 degrees, this station will give a reading of 94 to 95.
It is positoned on my covered front porch, should be an ideal location. Maybe it is that much hotter in my semi-shaded front yard, but I doubt it. am going to check it against another thermometer when I get one.
I do like the station very much. The barometer is great.
AND so interesting to watch the moon indicator change daily.....BUT it was 80 degrees yesterday, and the weather indicator showed clouds and rain for the next 12 hours..... AND now it's preparing to rain.
I put the remote temp module in my RV basement where my holding tanks and water tanks are...In our winter travels I can monitor the tanks for freezing.
Update: 6/2013: Recently the time and date have been changing on its own. I correct the time and within a day it has changed to an incorrect time. Thing is its not off by an hour or two, the difference is completely random. I imagine its either time for a battery change, or the function where it syncs up to the satellite (or whatever it globally syncs to) is off. I will update when I figure out whats wrong.
