The book has maybe 20 stories - and every single one of them is amazing! No duds here. I have been reading to my 9 year old son - every night for over a month - he has loved every one of them - These are not simple hackneyed stories that we all know- No, there are complex. beautiful folktales gathered from all over the world and from different spiritual persuasions. They have twisty plot lines and endings that surprise you. Some stories only a few pages long - others are 10-15 pages. The stories provoked so much sharing and good conversations with my son - I felt closer to him after each story! Reading this book made me feel uplifted and more thoughtful of others.
I plan on making this my go-to gift for friend's birthdays and special occasions. I already bought one for my Mom!
