Kayla’s Chick Rant and Book Blog
April 17, 2016
They say when you quit trying so hard, things will finally fall into place. So, I let go of my failed marriage to Aiden, focused all my attention on my daughter and finishing school while working a full-time job, and suddenly…
Barely breathing turned into surviving.
Surviving turned into being content.
Contentment turned into happiness.
All just my girl and me.
But there was still something missing, something I truly never thought I’d have.
My happily ever after.

USA Today Bestselling Author KD Robichaux wanted to be a romance novelist since the first time she picked up her mom's Sandra Brown books at the ripe old age of twelve. She went to college to become a writer, but then married her very own alpha and had babies. Putting her dream job on hold to raise her family as a stay-at-home mom who read entirely too much, she created a blog where she could keep her family and friends up-to-date on all the hottest reads. From there, by word of mouth, her blog took off and she began using her hard-earned degree as a full-time editor. When her kids started school, and with the encouragement from her many author friends, she finally sat down and started working on her first series, The Blogger Diaries, her own real-life romance. She’s now published more than twenty stories in many different genres of romance.

Then, one day you decide you want to put it all into book form. To give away that anonymity, to let the world inside your own private Idaho...the good, the bad and the ugly. That takes guts, folks. Real guts. Enter KD Robichaux.
I met KD recently, during a blog swap. She sent me a message offering book 1 of series, Wished For You in exchange for an honest review. I expected a light, humor filled story with a few ups and downs, all culminating in the HEA she promised there would be. What she failed to mention was at the end of Book One that I would want to punch Jason in the face. On behalf of all women everywhere. (Sorry, Jason.) How do you go on when your soulmate turns you away and you don't know why?
So, I immediately bought Book Two, Wish He Was You, because I knew something wasn't right. Nobody goes from hot to cold that quick. Nope. Still wanted to punch Jason (still sorry, Jason). Kayla tries moving on, even though she knows her soulmate is halfway across the country. I loved Kayla in Wish He Was You. This was her coming of age story; understanding what she needed to do and doing it.
Book Three, Wish Come True is fairly self explanatory. Jason can relax that I no longer want to punch him in the face and I actually want to give him a fistbump. Here's where he becomes the man I thought he was.
I know about a handful of couples whose courtship, marriage and life together is completely drama free. Then there's the rest of us. The Blogger Diaries is an in depth look at Kayla and Jason's life story. I applaud Kayla for being so open and willing to tell her story. I applaud Jason for letting her. Oh, and those covers? That's the real Kayla and Jason!

Kayla and Jason were meant to be together. That is clear for anyone to see. Aidan, I'd love to give him a slap with a silly stick. Both families sound amazing and I'm sure many people will relate to parts of this story. I wish this family all the best and I look forward to reading more by this author.
