When looking for books about Adoption I came across (3) books that I purchased together. Though the other 2 were good books they didn't really fit our situation. Our child came to us through fostering. This book didn't talk about where the child came from. It was more focused on the mother bear wanting and wishing for her baby. Great story, easy read, not too long for small children. I would highly recommend this book. Especially if your child didn't come straight from the hospital into your home.

I was highly dissapointed in the book. Not the book itself- the content is fine, if a little overly prosed. However this book with a generic title and summary- is from the point of view of a mom who adopted from a “far away place”, no mention of a father or second mother, and its geared toward baby adoption and references “god picked you for me”. Being a couple adopting from foster care or our couple friend who adopted a domestic baby and is budhist- this is by no means an appropriate book.
