It took a bit to get into the story but once I was in, I was hooked. The characters are so relatable (duh! they are real people) I could honestly see myself hanging out with them. There was no crazy over the top story, just true life. Real things, people sometimes suck, strangers become your close circle of friends, sometimes life is boring, your first love usually does break your heart, for some reason we fall for the #sshole all of that stuff made this book an easy enjoyable read for me.
That ending though! Seriously wanted to throat punch our "hero". Can't wait to read the rest of Kaylas real life romance story.
And I am so glad I did. Wished For You was everything I wanted in a book. There was laughter, tears, scenes you shake your head at because you're thinking OMG, did that just happen? You'll understand when you read lol. I inhaled this book in a matter of hours. I forgot my housework, cooking dinner, etc...my husband came home and I don't know if i even said hello. You might think I am being dramatic, but I assure you, I'm not. I was that involved in the story.
In Wished For You, you meet Kayla who is moving from North Carolina to Texas to attend college. She doesn't know anyone besides her family so she goes on a website to meet people in her area. LOL, does she meet someone...and he was ok...until she met his friend. That would be Jason...and Kayla is instantly enthralled. Jason tries to act like he is not affected, but I knew his game...he was! So, some things happen and they become friends, and some more things happen, and now it's something more. And now, I'm stopping because I don't do spoilers and you need to buy this book. All I will say is be prepared to laugh and do some ugly crying...i mean, have the tissues next to you because you are going to need them. One thing, KD Robicheaux is good at is she knows how to do emotion. I love her style of writing...it's comfortable yet keeps you on the edge of your seat.
I guess you can tell I love the book, right? I don't have anything negative to say about the book except it ended...and I need the next book now :) I give Wished For You 5 stars with no reservations. In fact, I highly recommend it. Buy it and enjoy, you'll thank me later :)
The beginning to me was a lot of rambling I almost lost interested, I know some readers are going to have issues with her sleeping around but when you're young haven't you done anything for the soul purpose of just having fun, you know before life becomes serious and you have to adult?
Some will want to relate to the female character but unfortunately, she can only go by how it happened, being a true story and all. If she was writing a story that wasn't her own then she would be able to write some BS nicer story. So I'm okay with that considering I know this is a true story, you can only account for what actually happened.
I think she's very brave and ballsy for putting her story out. I can't say I liked it but I didn't hate it. I'm not sure if I'm interested in the rest of the series but I'm happy that she got her HEA.

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I couldn't wait to read it and I was not disappointed.
Kayla is a blogger from North Carolina, she wants to go to school in Texas. So she applies and gets in. She packs up all her things and goes too live with her brother and his wife. After being there for a short time she signs up for a dating site.
Gavin pop's up in her search, he's tall, dark, handsome and totally obnoxious. But she agrees too date him and they sleep together after date 2. Poor Gavin struck out in that department too.....lol.
Enter Jason and Adam. Adam is very quiet. He likes to just blend in. But Jason, is larger then life. Soon Kayla develops a crush on Jason. At this point she has put Gavin in the friend zone. But he's too arrogant to understand that. A few months into their " relationship" Gavin breaks things off with Kayla. He then tells her she is too stay away from his friends......The scoop stops here. I promise you this book is a must/ It's the first in a series and this girl can't wait for the next book (less)
