Gregg Jarrett is a legal analyst for Fox News Channel and appears frequently on "Hannity." He was an anchor at Fox for 15 years and previously anchored on MSNBC for 4 years. During his 8 years as an anchor on COURT TV, Jarrett covered numerous major trials involving O.J. Simpson, the Menendez brothers, William Kennedy Smith, Jeffrey Dahmer, Rodney King, and Marv Albert. He also hosted a nationally broadcast TV show called "Inside America's Courts" and penned a syndicated legal column distributed nationally. Jarrett was born and raised in Los Angeles and was a trial lawyer for several years in San Francisco. Witch Hunt as his first book is very well written and easy to understand even if you only had one year of law school. This work is more finite in that it uncovers much more material than the first with even closed- door testimony the reader has not been exposed to. In this work you will fully understand what happened in this “Witch Hunt” against the President of the United States. Here in this book is how the Russian Hoax began! The author does an outstanding job of explaining this complicated charade to the average reader. After reading this book the reader will not wonder why the Russians are “splitting a gut” laughing.

The author spends some time in the middle of the book to explain the duplicitous actions of Robert Rosenstein, Assistant AG, prior to and during the Special Council Investigation. Here the reader is provided with a somewhat objective view of what happened in his attempt to record Trump and then attempt to depose him under the 25th Amendment of the Constitution.

It is clear the author has an animus for, former FBI Director, James Comey’s integrity. He mentions his private quote to the president-elect in January of 2017: “ I do not do sneaky things, I don’t leak, I don’t do weasel moves,” several time in the text! In the author’s words: It is a mathematical challenge to keep track of all Comey’s false and misleading statements.” He outlines his case on page 179.

In Chapter 5 Jarrett dissects the $30 million Mueller Report like no other previously. From a legal standpoint he addresses how Mueller did not fulfill his mission mandate. He feels from a lawyer standpoint he should never have been selected as “Special Counsel.” When the rational person reads his argument, there is agreement.

Then following in the next chapter the reader will learn how the media obtained tainted information to create a tempest of false information. Thus to undermine Trump’s candidacy, election, and eventually presidency. Here The American people were fed the appearance of criminality! The press created a “wishing is believing universe.” They willingly committed malpractice to support their Anti-Trump narrative. Thus, severely polarizing American families’ judgments creating a verbal “civil war“ at many dinner tables.

Jarrett does an outstanding service to the country by chronically organizing the events of the past three years of the Trump Administration. This work, with its well reference eighty-page reference note section, may well become the cornerstone for this “Greatest mass delusion in American Political History” perpetrated by a corrupt political party in collusion with a conspiring media! Buy this book to understand how the Obama Administration initiated a coup against its successor to remove him from office!

This book was pre-ordered in June of 2019 and yesterday I went back and read the blurb for it. In addition to the bureaucratic politicization of our justice system, one thing that piqued my interest then...and now, was the 'pundits'. What about them? They 'concocted wild narratives in real time on TV, or the newspapers. The author takes these issues up in his book and provides factual information to back up these points.

As for myself, I stopped watching news on the television over a year ago. My problem with it was that portions were omitted in some broadcasts. Sometimes, as you know, just the omission of a single word or two can change the context of the situation. So, I chose to select and read books which I thought would be based on facts and not biased.. I am getting older (am in my 70's now) and have lived through a lot of US crises during my life. Now, there is so much to be done and the fighting goes on...and on..

Chapter 4 covers 'The Attempted Coup' and has a lot of information on Andrew McCabe *Former Acting FBI Director) and Rob Rosenstein (Acting AG). The author states that there was an abuse of their power and the discussion about wearing of a wiretap is covered.. The 25th Amendment is brought to light once again. Amazing chapter to read.

Of particular interest to me was the one titled 'Media Witch Hunt'. The information starts with David J. Kramer (McCain Institute) and Sir Andrew Wood from the UK. An explanation of how the 'dossier' was first placed into the Media. And, Buzz Feed is also mentioned as that organization was the one that posted 35 pages online. That, as we know, was the beginning...

The names we are familiar with including Paul Manafort, Gen Michael Flynn, Richard Gates (and more people) are covered in great depth. Some of the details I had forgotten but this author refreshed my memory.

A glimmer of hope is offered in the Afterword in that quotes from Attorney General Barr offered some insight. He cautioned that 'government abuse of power is equally as dangerous as foreign interference'. AG Barr has assigned John Durham, a top prosecutor in Connecticut, to examine the origins of the Russia Investigation. Whether or not the people that broke the laws will be held accountable is not certain.

So, yes this book is factual and backed up with footnotes. As the author states there is no collusion, and no reason for Mueller's investigation. Contrived and concocted ....yes, indeed! A most interesting read for me.

Great Analysis of the Plots to Unseat a Duly Elected President

This book is well-documented as you would expect when one writes a thesis for a PhD. This not for that purpose, of course, but I like documentation so I can check facts and quotes. It meets that criteria. Gregg Jarrett has accomplished this, which, for me, gives the book much more credibility. The chronology is great as he maps out the conspiratorial steps that began as far back as 2015 with Mr. Brennan. I would recommend it for anyone, regardless of political affiliation, to read to understand how a government and various actors can influence the public through all the media outlets at their disposal. It is dangerous for the Republicans. It is dangerous for the Democrats. It harms our democracy when personal ambition and goals supersede the law.

It appears fact-checking by the media, by the FBI and CIA, was placed on the back-burner! I am astounded that our FBI did not pursue what appeared to be absolute felonies, but rather covered for them. This was not the rank and file. Why didn't the Washington, DC office of the FBI investigate the various issues from 2015-2018? Instead, the main directors were involved. I think the rank and file would have had an entirely different view of the "facts" and "evidence." Hopefully, our CIA and FBI and other intelligence agencies will get back to doing what they are supposed to do in protecting the United States of America. Hopefully we will see true journalism return to the "news" rooms instead of the daily soap operas we have had for the past several years. Mr. Jarrett's book helps anyone to see the convoluted means used to disseminate untruths. It helps to understand how the media, FBI, CIA and even the FISA court became part of it.
