Dakota has done it again!! In the newest Paris, Texas story we meet Bernie as she is being released from magical prison for attempting to rob a bank. She doesn't remember going in to the bank and she doesn't believe she is a witch. Her plan is to keep her head down, do her time, say what they want her to say and then get back to her life. While living in Paris she is assigned work duty on Ridge's ranch. She loves the horses and the man ain't too bad either. This book is truly laugh out loud funny. Do not read it if you are embarrassed by public outbursts of laughter! The known characters are all back including the old folks, the cabbage patch, the car advertising feminine napkins, Jaques the gps and Baba Yaga!! The storyline takes a few great twists that will keep you on your toes while the romance will knock you off your feet! The characters are divine and easily loved. This is a must read!!!

Witch Is the New Black is another delightful and sometimes tense novel in Dakota Cassidy's fun Paris, Texas Romances series.

In this third fun but touching novel in the series, the witch in question isn't learning a lesson about abusing her powers, she is discovering that she HAS powers which explains why so many freaky things have happened to her since she turned 14. One of the mysteries of the book is the question of why her parents didn't tell her she was a witch and prepare her for living in a human world with the powers of a witch. There is of course an evil one, a hot one, and many many wonderful people in Paris, Texas who are more than ready to help her once they understand what she need.

Dakota did it again! I neglected everything in my house to read this book cover to cover. You find yourself pulled into this story from page one, and fall in love with the characters all over again. I've had tears in my eyes the whole time...mostly from laughter. If you have a chance, please read all her books, you won't be disappointed. Now I'm off to feed my husband before he chews off his own arm out of hunger. He's been sitting at the table with fork and knife at the ready for about 30 minutes now.
