> I am an independent reviewer. This set contains books one through three in the series and ends in an HEA. Peri is a witch who is found by a strange pair of friends. Gabe is a wolf shifter and Josef is a powerful vampire. Gabe and Josef are as close as brothers and share everything, including their home and their women. I thought at first the men might be gay, but that is not the case. Josef has the strongest personality and seems to lead Gabe. The two men take care of Peri and fall for her. Peri’s backstory is horrific. She was tortured by her own father and wants to learn her craft in order to get revenge.
> The first book is the most erotic. Peri is introduced to a menage lifestyle and invited to become the mate of both Josef and Gabe. The men are devoted to Peri. Gabe’s personality is a bit of comic relief. There is no explanation as to why jealousy does not exist between Gabe and Josef. Screwing around as a threesome is one thing, mating with the same woman is serious. How can you share a mate? If you can get past the sharing aspect, the story is quite interesting.
>The second and third books deal with their relationship after the mating and the threat to Peri from her witch family. Both men are extremely protective, which makes the menage romantic, even though I have never felt any romance for a menage relationship. I only think of threesomes as erotic, but never romantic. The expansion of their family is an interesting twist, as is the peek to the future in the epilogue. Books two and three have a lot more plot and a lot less eroticism. None of the three books really show a typical day. What does Peri do all day? A glimpse into a typical day would have been interesting.
> This series is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the box set 4 stars.
In the first book your pulled in with the story of Peri and her terrible life with her father. He stay on the streets. Then Peri meets Josef and Gabe just by accident, but they turn out to be their mate. Yes, all three. In the second book Peri, vampire and her wolf as she call them, have a problem with her father. Peri trainers and kills him. Peri is a very powerful witch. The last book is the best it brings everything together with Peri, Josef and Gave. Peri become pregnant and everything changes. The story gets really interesting and fast past.
I'm stopping now, you need to read this series you'll love it. Then there's the children.
There was a lot of explicit sex in the book, but I knew that going in. It was reasonably well written, and not cringe worthy.
This was a fun read.
