I dislike smut, cheesy romance, harem books, reverse or otherwise, excessive cruelty, ridiculous sugary sweetness, long winded emotional or moralizing jabber, and unrealistic protagonist motives. This book has none of that crap ! Life is not as complicated as most writers try to make it seem. People just want to be safe and happy, and this book expresses that fact, while giving you a rich fantasy world to enjoy. What more could you want ? !

Kellana comes back to the US and finds three witches covens opening stores with charms and potions, and a werewolf Senator and a vampire Representative putting together different bills for paranormal rights. Then, the fighting starts, and for some reason, Kellana is the target of one of the covens, which turns out is practicing black magic and is allied with the Senator's pack. The Paranormal Crime Unit (PCU) of the FBI pulls Kellana in for advice before Beltane, which is when all realms break loose and who knows what will happen. And that's just the first few chapters. Great series, I don't know how the author keeps the different ones apart. Rosie O'Gradys Bar was my first, but Dark Streets goes to more locations, and just getting going on Chameleon.

I love Kellana! I really love this crazy out of control, action filled world, with some really great characters. This one took me a few days longer to read, only because getting free time to actually sit and read is not easy. I haven't gotten much sleep the last couple of nights... So hard to put down. I listened to the first to in Audio and loved them. Can't wait till this one is in audio. I have to say, with this being the 3rd book in, I am very excited with the possibilities this author comes up with to keep this series moving.

B. R. Kingsolver has written another phenomenal book. There were unexpected twists and turns throughout this well paced third installment in the gratifyingly unique "Dark Streets" series. I highly recommend grabbing your own copy as soon as possible.

I love that the main character continues to grow and evolve but still keep her spirited attitude that has served her well! Can’t wait until book 4 comes out to reread the books again before I start book 4 because who doesn’t like revisiting good stories?

You know I'm not sure where I am after reading this series, but I loved the story and the writing. The characters are fun, it would be interesting to see where they go. I'm a little lost in the worlds, I would like a map please...lol

I have really enjoyed this series so far! I do hope that there will be another book coming in this series, it could stop with the three but I'd love to read another adventure with Kellana, Cass, Isabella, and friends!

Kellanna is a very strong and exciting lead in all three of her novels, the way elves are portrayed lets you see how they can be a strong race in there own right. Even against the many other races portrayed in the story. A must read for fantasy fans.

Another fun read in the series! The great thing about these books is that each book has its own story, no cliffhangers. You could read them out of order but in order is better. Recommended.

I liked that she was a catlyst instead of a superhero.
