I can’t sing Tom Winton’s praises loud enough. The man has definitely earned his stripes as a romance writer. Before I go, I should mention that this emotionally-charged story was artfully woven together with vivid atmospheric and scenic descriptions. I felt as though I was accompanying Chris (Christian) on his journey. All of my senses were engaged. It was as if I was experiencing all the beauty of New Hampshire firsthand. I highly recommend this book to all lovers of romance. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to download more of this author's work.
Manhattan apartment he had shared with her, he puts his things in storage and heads north to New Hampshire where he hopes to be rebuild his life. Stopping at a store in a tiny New Hampshire town, he meets a woman he cannot forget. From here
we see what it's like for men who have suffered this kind of loss and are unable (and unwilling) to bring it in to the open and grieve it. With the pain locked in his heart, he suffers more pain, including the pain of attraction.
This could have become a trite story, but it isn't, and I thank Tom Winton for penning a tale that pulled me in and kept me in. Men learn as boys not to show their hurts so they won't be ridiculed, put down, and sometimes bullied, and it causes no
end of pain. This is a book every man should read, especially men who have suffered the loss of a love. Thank you, Tom Winton, for telling this story and sharing it with your readers. It's one I won't soon forget, if I ever do.

TOM WINTON's latest book (novella WITHIN A MAN'S HEART)emanates from the only place - the heart.
This beautifully told and described story follows Christrian Crews' life after the death of his beloved wife, Elyse. Because he cannot envisage life without her, he sells his New York Apartment, buys a new car and drives north towards the mountains. An invisible thread seems to be pulling him away from the big city.
He finds himself in the small town of Mountain Step and decides to stay for a while. He meets Gina Elkin and suddenly his life is turned upside down. Chris is torn between his lingering love for his dead wife, Elyse and his very much alive, new friend Gina.
There are strange influences around and Chris is unable to commit to Gina's presence in his life, but strangly Elyse (or so Chris is beginning to believe) is looking down on him and pulling a few strings.
This is a wonderfully heart-warming story and one that I am beginning to expect from this talented author and richly deserves my 5-star recommendation.
It was so good, I read it twice!!
Within a Mans Heart
This story follows Chris Crews who has lost his wife 4 years ago to a brain tumour at the age of 35. Chris decides to move out of New York, and go live elsewhere, in doing so he meets up with Gina, and he buys a cabin from her uncle. He then falls in love with Gina but he has guilt trips about his wife. This story is so well told by Tom Winton that you will read this novella in one sitting. It's another 5 star read from a fantastic author.
