Without Consequence is the story of Drew and Ayda. I honestly fell in love with both of these characters. Drew is a badass, he is troubled and is just trying to figure out life with his MC. Ayda is trying to figure out life, but in a totally different way. She has a younger brother she is caring for and she is working herself into the ground. Despite that she has this don't take no s$#! attitude and I absolutely love that about her.
Drew and Ayda wind up crossing paths because of her brother and a stunt that he tries to pull. This stunt is what leads Drew and Ayda to meeting. From that first meet up on I was on the edge of my seat. Drew tries to intimidate her and she isn't having it. Drew isn't used to anyone not being intimidated by him and it puts him on edge. Despite being not quite sure what to make one another there is this underlying attraction that they both feel towards one another so he makes her a deal. He won't do anything with her brother, but she is to pay his debt.
These two feel each other out throughout her trips to The Hut and I enjoyed reading every second of their journey. There were moments I cringed, moments I laughed, and who doesn't enjoy reading those steamier moments? Without Consequence is a great turn paging read that will hook you in from the beginning and leave you wanting more. I'm onto book 2!
Drew has recently finished his five year sentence in prison and is trying to reclaim both his life and his MC. When a teenager tries to steal from his club an example needs to be set even if it Ayda that needs to pay it.
Tate knows that they are struggling financially, and he thought this would be the solution to their problems. When Drew confronts Ayda about her brother the sparks fly and neither of their lives will ever be the same. This is the first book I have read by this author but the storyline is full of suspense, steam and emotion and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.
Meet Drew Tucker. He's the MC' s president, fresh from prison and still adaopting to the outside world.
Ayda Hanagan is a 25 year old woman, guardian of her 15 year old brother, Tate and she works hard to make ends meet. She's feisty and snarky. When her brother has the genius-not- idea to steal money from the Hounds of Babylon MC he gets caught and thta's how Ayda and Drew meet. Ayda doesn't know who and what Drew is and is a real loudmouth to him. But there's more between these two people. They have this crazy chemistry. Yes they're from different worlds , but they're similar somehow.
Without Consequence is a full length story, well written with captivating characters and continues in Without Mercy. I give seriously hot 4,5 stars.

I fall in love with the characters almost immediately, the way these two authors set the scenes is amazing. This book only really touches the surface of what Is yo come as its mainly on the background of the MC club, and like most MC clubs, they have many rivals.
Everything has just hit the fan and all hell is about to break loose.
It's a very well written book and the characters and storyline had me gripped from the get go and wanting to read more to find out what is going to happen next.
I'm so excited for the second book in this series. I need more.
And i especially need more DREW!!!
If you enjoy hot leather wearing bikers with one hell of a temper and a misery side this book is definitely for you.
Throw in a couple of curve balls and it's game on.
Definitely 5 well deserved stars from me.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would 100% recommend it to all MC book lovers.
Book 2.... I'm coming for you!!!
Drew was just out of prison after being inside for five years, he was back home with his brothers, but something wasn't right, something was missing.......enter sassy Ayda with her smart mouth that wanted to annoy, anger and challenge him every time she spoke to him, she wasn't scared of him, she was brave and stubborn...he had met his match!
Ayda was a struggling guardian to her Brother Tate after both her parents had been killed, she worked three jobs to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table, she had put her life on hold to care for her brother. Until one night he decided to help or so he thought and brought a whole heap more trouble to her door in the form of Drew Tucker.
Deep down in the book is a love story that is slow to burn but you know its going to happen, along with the violence and brotherhood, and the hatred for the rival gang. You fall in love with Ayda and her strength from the start and the way she pulls Drew out of his shell and open up to her, with her he is a totally different person and she quickly falls in love with him. I really love the character of Deeks, he was loyal to both Drew and Ayda and always willing to help.
I don't know yet if this has changed my mind about MC books but I know that I have to read all the books in this series, I love the work by both of these authors individually, but together they are unstoppable. Off to Amazon now for book 2
I had mixed feelings about the main character, Drew Tucker to start with. One minute I hated him with a passion, the next all my feelings turned to mush and I was suckered under his spell.... swoon. The other main character Ayda, I absolutely adored. She is raising her younger teenage brother alone after the death of both their parents and after getting mixed up badly with Drew's pack, Ayda must find a way to stop the Hounds of Babylon hurting her brother.....total respect for her throughout! Her passion and commitment to Tate is just so inspiring.
Drew & Ayda's story will give you whiplash but only because they both have their own demons to contend with. After Drew let’s his guard down and let’s Ayda in, their relationship goes from strength to strength. There are plenty of obstacles thrown in their path and they must stand together to overcome everything that is thrown at them.
I was hooked from page one and loved every second of this book. All the characters are awesome and perfectly drafted to suit the story. An extremely well deserved 5 star read.
My first book by both these authors.
Without Consequence is what I call a quality read, 49 chapters containing highs, lows, angst, drama, in fact, there aren't many books where you get not just the meat of a story but the bones of the story and characters too.
I think the only other MC books I have said that about was Cat Porter who also leaves no stone unturned with the plot and you feel like you have been through one heck of a ride with the characters, have read a good quality book and more than that a money's worth kind of read and this is how I feel about Without Consequence.
A bit about the characters;
Drew Tucker is a feared man, he came across as a loose cannon, a man with a reputation, letting his temper get the better of him and later regretting his actions, going solo for revenge instead of including his brothers.
You first meet Drew when it's time for his release from a five-year stint in prison.
Following on from his release although back with his club he's feeling lost, being back reminds him even more of the best friend he lost the night he was also arrested.
Ayda comes into the story, a struggling one parent carer for her fifteen-year-old brother.
Ayda and Tate's parents died a few years ago in a bank robbery leaving Ayda to pick up the pieces along with her new role as Tate's mum, dad, sister, and carer all in one as well as working three jobs.
Drew and Ayda first meet when Drew brings Tate back home after finding him in the club looking for money.
Drew was once a man who would not let that go, Tate would have died for his actions by the hands of pre-prison Drew but Drew had changed since his release and he gave Ayda a way out by letting her clean at the club as a penance for her brother's crime.
I was glued to the pages with this slow build romance.
As MC reads go this was different to most I have read. I think I counted three sex scenes that weren't really in depth or with descriptive acts. There weren't many foul-mouthed horny Alphas knocking around the MC but there was a rival club and drama concerning that. The main focus was on Ayda and Drew struggles separately and together.
What I liked about this was the gradual build up, the getting to know each other stages with the characters, the breaking down of walls and barriers and then finally letting each other be free with their feelings.
Drew was a man who didn't understand connections, understand emotion, sympathy or love and it was like Ayda became his new tutor and voice of reason.
Great read and I will look forward to the next book.
Told in first persons dual pov, sort of leads to a hea, the club is on the brink of war but with regards to the characters, I did reach a happy sigh at the end for them.
AVAILABLE IN KU.
The main characters in this are Ayda Hanagan - local girl of Babylon, working three jobs for her and her brother Tate to survive; and Drew Tucker, main man of the Hounds of Babylon MC, just released from prison. Their paths cross when Tate takes drastic measures to help Ayda with their dire money situation.
As soon as the two of them met, the sparks were flying - I could feel the tension through the pages. Of course, the path of true love never runs smooth, especially in a MC. So many obstacles came their way, and though close to giving up, they kept fighting no matter what got in their way.
The main echo of this story was the fact that Drew thought he was worthless, no good to anybody. Completely guilt ridden about his past. Everybody else saw different, but sometimes we only believe what we can see. Leading him to make many mistakes, until the realisation of what he could lose again, hit.
Written in dual POV, the writing was seamless; if I didn't know better I would think that it was a solo effort. I did struggle to get into the first 30% or so, but once I did I could barely put it down. The story was brilliantly written, so much angst and drama within, and so many life messages throughout. One heck of an ending, and I can't wait to read what book 2 has in store.
