Patti Smith is one of my all time favorite artists and I so enjoyed this book.
It is a great example of her early career as a poet and a precursor to her
career as a singer/songwriter.
I also loved the cover photo by Robert Mapplethorpe.

try to read all of her books. each one is incredible. She moved me more than anyone since the late 70s. her endeavors are amazing. I owned every book, all first signed editions. then they were all stolen. what a shame. I really hope kd you get what you deserve.
