First, let me say how much I love the names of the sets. My youngest heard "goblin teeth" and immediately grabbed them. Each set is a name a gamer will appreciate.
Second, these are very well made dice. Each set had good contrast between the die color and the color of the number. I haven't had a chance to do exhaustive rolling, but the rolls I did make came out nicely random. The coloring is exactly what I would expect - even for the opaque dice, just enough transparency in the translucent dice to sparkle.
Third, the sets are ready to hand out to others as is. I'm used to either pounds of random dice where you make your own sets or purchasing single sets. These were 15 individually bagged sets inside a larger zippered bag.
All in all, this are great sets of dice for a great price. When the next series comes out, expect me to buy more!
PROS: I received 15 full sets and no stray dice, as promised. The Series III dice are some of my favorite ones so far in terms of the colors and the various finishes and effects. My favorites are Cherry Blossom, Dragon Berry, Sticky Ichor, Ghost Jade, and Forge Embers.
CONS: As with basically all Wiz Dice I've bought, there are defective dice here. Out of all the products I've bought from Wiz Dice, this bag had THE most severe defects so far. The worst dice here are the non-opaque ones.
Specifically, 8 out of 15 sets had at least one screwed up die, usually the D6 or D20 but in many cases, both. In each case, they were warped in their shapes.
As seen above in the pictures, the D20s were smooshed down in the same areas where they show 13, 5, 11, 4, and 18. The effect is even more noticeable IRL and it noticeably affects the rolls as well.
The D6 were also smooshed/skewed to various sides. Check out the Midnight Nebula d6 (purple sparkly) to see the worst example of this.
These issues seem to be isolated primarily to d6 and D20 of the translucent varieties from Series III, and it's not just because you can see if there are bubbles inside! Most of the defective ones in this set did not have bubbles... they were noticeably warped! I am not sure why the opaque dice seem to be so much more stable and symmetrical in their shape, but they are.
THE WORST: As with previous issues I've had, the customer service was very understanding and quick to send out replacements. The problem, however, is the replacements themselves. To be fair, many of the replacement dice were either quite good or only slightly defective, and so I give them a pass. The pictures above show the others though. Pictures that show two dice are some examples of the replacement dice being as bad or worse than some of the original defective dice. This is not the first time it has happened. I really want to contact the company *again* and try to get legit replacements that are not warped, but I feel like it's a waste of time... am I going to just get the same warped d20s for a third time? My boyfriend wrote back to express disappointment after receiving defective replacements before and they didn't even respond, so is there even a point?
So why do I still give this 4 stars?
In the end, I still received 90/105 dice that are mostly pretty darn good. It just gets frustrating when you have like half of your sets that each have one or two noticeably defective dice... it really discourages me from giving them away to friends, showing them off, recommending Wiz Dice, etc.
As I've continued to buy Wiz Dice stuff, I do so very hesitantly and always hoping that I will eventually get a 100% perfect sack o' dice from them. This has not yet happened. I also do keep in mind that yes, these are a good value overall, and that there are worse deals out there.
That being said, I really like the variety of colors and effects with Wiz Dice, and geez, wouldn't it be great if the quality issues could be sorted out? I imagine they have huge stocks of these warped, scuffed, low quality dice sitting around and that we are unlikely to see any changes in quality until they get rid of that stock.
I would really prefer to pay a little more for dice that are well-formed and without major defects. I'm getting tired of contacting customer service to get replacement dice and I worry I sound like a broken record by now. But the whole issue is the quality of the product here. If the dice were truly factory firsts, it wouldn't be necessary to contact customer service at all.
I am developing a love/hate feeling for the Wiz Dice product line. Part of me loves seeing and playing with the dice in all their cool, unique colors. The other part of me though, I would absolutely forget about Wiz Dice tomorrow if a competitor came along and offered dice with the same colors, same effects but with higher quality control. Then again, I imagine Wiz Dice doesn't feel very worried about losing my business since I keep buying their damn products... but hey, what can a girl do?

Dragon berry, wanted, didn't get. Oh well.
Cherry blossom, good, colour's accurate.
Enchanted clay, expected colour.
Forge ember, a lot pinker-looking than expected, looked like it would be a definite orange.
Blighted Grove, nice colour, feels like a dark jade or jungle.
Crimson queen, expected this to be a dark red, but it's definitely more of a purple-burgandy.
Ambrosia, by the look of it in the picture, it looks vibrant purple, but it's more towards a cotton candy pink?
Ghost jade, mint chocolate. Not bad, but with ghost in the name I almost wanted it to be glow in the dark or see through.
Desert topaz(wanted), celestial sea(wanted), penumbra, didn't get.
Sea Glass, definitely a brighter shade of blue in the picture than the actual dice. Not disappointed, but not expected.
Blood lust(wanted), didn't get.
Dreamless night and goblin teeth, as expected.
Sticky Ichor, greener than I thought. Was expecting more towards a highlighter yellow based on the picture. Not bad though (it's basically highlighter green).
Midnight nebula, didn't expect these to be sparkly based on the picture. It's good.
Skystone, definitely a darker blue than expected. While it's not bad, I'd much prefer what was shown in the picture for these.
Sparkle vomit and quick silver were as expected.
Overall, disappointed with forge embers and crimson queen the most, and Ambrosia and skystone were disheartening. Cherry blossom and goblin teeth were probably the best represented, with midnight nebula and blighted Grove being nice surprises.
Quality review:
Ambrosia d20 had a decent chip in it. A couple of the colours also flaked off in small sections on a number of different dice(on average about one to two minor dings/blemishes/etc. per set). I didn't get to test warping, but some of the dice felt weird when I was examining them, the majority of the dice though don't have any evident physical problems. Each dice set had all 7 dice in them. Overall, 3 stars, because I can't do 2.5.

This is a great way to ramp up your dice collection and if, like me, you want to convince people to get to the table for the cost of paper and pencils, then you can loan these dice out without having your pals taint your better sets with their filthy basic hands. And if you find that some are imbalanced, you have a bajillion backups in the same bag to work with.
For me, the biggest concern when buying this was whether the dice would be balanced or not. A lot of people reviewing dice balance talk about testing dice using salt-water. I felt it was better to test dice in real-world rolling tests, so I tested each of the 15 d20s in this set (d20s being the most vulnerable to balance issues according to what I read online). I rolled each d20 100 times, and did a chi-squared test as well as a Kolmogorov-Smirnov test (you can find more info about these by searching online).
Every die passed the test - some were borderline, and for those I did another 100 tests, and they were also fine. That doesn't guarantee balanced dice, but it means that you would have to roll 300 or more times before you saw any slight balance issue - in a practical sense, I think this the dice are very likely to be as balanced as can be hoped for.
