This is the pack that started it all. Great for people just starting out their dice collection, great for DMs looking to outfit a few newbies, and just great for seasoned vets who want to inject their growing polyhedral hoard with over 100 dice. This pack of random polyhedral dice contains all the usual suspects: d4, d6, d8, d10, d00, d12, and d20. And a little bird tells us that you might pull a couple of completed sets.
Included among the traditional solid and translucent polyhedrals of Wiz Dice Series I are several colors we pioneered:
- the smooth and sultry caramel and bronze swirls of Copper Sands
- the shimmering silver sparkles and regal gold of Forbidden Treasure
- the malevolent, venomous yellow-greens of Serpent
- the subtle, pearled veins of Imperial Gem
- the mysterious, snaking wafts of Smoke
- and the bright, shining blues of Horizon
Among the fancy colors we listed above, you have a chance to pull any of the following classic dice colors:

The Chessex Dice: Pound of Dice (Pound-O-Dice) Approximately 100 Die came to 113 dice in the following mix:
* 9 d4
* 34 d6 (with pips)
* 6 d6 (with numbers)
* 7 d8
* 28 d10 (0-9)
* 1 d% (d10 with 00-90)
* 7 d12
* 14 d20
* And the promised full set (1 of each, 7 total) (white with teal numbers)
A good mix of colors and the "stone" colors are quite nice. The quality of the dice seems really good and I can't see any physical defect to make the "seconds." My guess is some of the odd colorations is what made them "not perfect." Looking at the mix of dice, you can see the mix is heavily skewed to d6's... frankly the least desired dice for my collection.
Also the "full set" is probably the worst set a person could ask for... white? Really? With UGLY teal numbers? I would have given this purchase a slightly higher ranking if they had at least given a nicer full set and MUCH less d6's. I will definitely use a few of the better colors, and I know I will wish that I had a full matching set. Bottom line is I got 113 dice for $22 which is pretty good
On the other hand, the Wiz Dice 100+ Pack of Random Polyhedral Dice in Multiple Colors Plus Free Pouch Set by Wiz Dice pack gave me 110 dice in 16 matching sets of 7. It came with a good mix of colors with some solid and some opaque. I was quite pleased with 3 variations of green (my favorite color). The quality was also good; I see no issues with these dice at all. There are not any of the stone colored dice the came with the Chessex set but the matching sets more than make up for that. Also included is a small pouch for your favorite set.
Conclusion: It seems that which set you of dice you purchase has to do with what you are looking for. If you want to get matching sets of dice, I would suggest you go with the Wiz Dice. The colors are not as interesting, but they are matching!
If you are looking for a truly eclectic mix (with way too many d6's) then Chessex might be the way to go!
Overall the quality is very good. My bag didn't have any obvious flaws in any of the dice. All of the dice were well-marked and very readable, though the pearlescent white dice with the gold lettering might be a bit more difficult to read under some lighting conditions. (They are really pretty, though.)
There's a nice mix of colors here - whites, reds, yellows, greens, blues, purples, brown and blacks. There were no orange dice in my bag, but that's where these sets can be random, as others have received orange dice in their bags. The marbled light-green and marbled black sets are probably my favorites.
Over a third of the sets in my bag were translucent, with the remainder being opaque solids or marbleized opaques. I'm not too keen on brown dice, but they aren't bad -- and the rest of the dice are in colors and patterns that look really nice.
The small Wiz Dice logo bag is nice. As others have noted, it can comfortably hold 2 standard sets of RPG dice. The dice in my small bag were black with white marbling, duplicating one of the other sets in the larger bag.
I'm very pleased with this purchase. I've also recently bought the Chessex Pound-O-Dice and the 100 Pack of Polyhedral Dice by White Tower. Of the three sets, this one yielded not only the most dice, but the most sets and the greatest variety of sets. (The Chessex Pound-O-Dice had more overall variety, but I couldn't even get ONE complete set of dice in a consistent color out of it.)
Of the three, this is the bag of bulk dice that most people are looking for.
The colors in my package were as follows: solid white, blue, purple, green, yellow, red, brown and black; translucent blue, purple, green and red; and marbleized white, blue, green and black. The marble sets are by far the coolest. See my customer photo for the complete contents of my package.
Two or three of the die have little bits of missing paint on the numbers, but it's nothing to complain about and could be easily fixed with a dab of paint. I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would definitely buy this product again, even though I don't expect to receive quite so bountiful an assortment next time.

Maybe 2 of them had a flaw on them.
