I definitely recommend this car mount. It's small and super easy to install. It comes with magnets (round and squared) to place on the back of your phone. You can either use the adhesive or just place it in between your case and your phone. I just placed it in between, because I'm not too fond of placing stickers on my phone. The magnetic car mount does its job and holds the phone without slipping or falling. I highly recommend it's a really good purchase.

I've tried so many different solutions for sticking my phone to my dashboard, specifically the wheel of my car. I don't like to have to look over to the right to see my phone when I'm navigating and stuff. I've used velcro, clips, and those sticky rubber pad thingies, but they all eventually fail or deteriorate. FINALLY, this thing is the ultimate solution.

Now, it's meant to attach to your vent, which it does well, but with a little reverse engineering, you can actually take the vent clip off so you just have the round rubbery magnet disc. I ended up superglueing this right to the center of my steering wheel, and it's absolutely perfect.

The best part about this is that it'll work with any phone because of the included metal plates. Mine came with three different plates (in two different sizes), and two of them had a peel-off sticker adhesive so you can stick it right to the phone. But if you're a normal human being, your phone has a case, and this is why this thing is perfect; you can just throw the little metal plate (which is, like, less than 1mm thick) inside your phone case, and it'll still stick perfectly to the magnetic disc.

And since it's rubberized, it'll stay in whatever position you attach it in. Dude, it's seriously perfect. I love this thing so much.

(Oh, and I was kidding about the YouTube thing. I usually watch Netflix.)

What a great gadget! The slots that fit on the vent have two sizes, so you should be able to find one that works for you. I like that I can just slip this off of my dash and carry along with me when I'm in other vehicles! This would not work for a recessed vent, of course. Strong hold, and yet the phone is easy to remove. I have tried the metal plate in different locations with my phone: inside the battery case, inside a thick case, and inside an outer shell of a thick case. They all worked great. I was afraid the metal plate would cause my phone to overheat when I had it inside the battery case, but it didn't. Would buy again, would recommend.

Works great. There are several brands. Yoshi is great too, but this one has extra metal plates for your different cell phones. Also, you can stick the adhesive part to your GPS and ditch the suction cup gps mount. My mom and brother are happy about that innovation. Thanks for the extra metal plates and stickers. Yoshi is great, but the extra plates put your product a touch above.

Note to users, putting the metal plate or sticker on your PONG anti-radiation cell phone case will reduce or nullify the radiation deflecting properties of the case. I wrote in to PONG and they told me that.

I regret buying this, lack of warning on the box. This has destroyed my IPOD Classic 120gb in a matter of lightening seconds. Heard some static noise then the screen shows Apple Support, it would take $250 just to repair and now I have to get the hard drive to DIY. Only read about the same in other comments after the damage which is quite late.

Had a large suction mount for several years and was never happy with it. It would fall off while driving and I never like how it blocked my view. This little guy has solved all my problems. I can jump in my car and instantly mount my phone. I alos through it in my pocket when we travel and use it in rentals because it'll fit anywhere.

I've ordered 4 of these now - I am passing them out like candy! I just want everyone to have one.
Once you use this cell phone holder you will never want to have a loose phone again. Unlike a traditional holder, this one is easy to get the phone off and back on - it just pops right on the magnet and stays put. Every once in a while when I hit a big bump, yes it may fall off, but that is rare and I just love having my phone in view instead of actually having to pick it up to text and drive. Just kidding about that part. lol.

I have a built-in GPS application in my Pathfinder LE - but with the advent of smartphones, have been a long time user of the "Waze" navigation application. The only thing I haven't loved is the fact that when I've used the GPS app on my phone, I'm forced to take my eyes off the road to look down, as I typically keep my phone on the passenger seat or in one of the cup holders.

A colleague told me about the WizGear universal car mount - this has been a game changer for me! I can now position my iPhone in one of the center dashboard vents, making it much safer to glance at the Waze app while driving. I've been using this for about a month and 1/2 now (both in my car and in a rental car during a weekend trip), and haven't had any issues with the phone falling off the mount or with the mount coming out of the vent. And because it's designed to fit into the vent, it doesn't obstruct the windshield. Highly recommend!

I was skeptical but curious. I have purchase so many vehicle phone holders throughout the years and by far this is the best. My concerns were first, was the clip going to stay attached to the vent and secondly would the phone stay put with just a magnet. I pictured it falling off and me constantly having to retrieve it from the car's floorboard. Not so. The clip and the phone have never come loose and dropped.

My car is my office. I've like this holder so much I purchased more for my other cars as well as for friends. The price is more than reasonable. Thanks for offering such a great product.

I found that sticking the metal piece on the outside of my phone allows it to stay magnetized to the vent mount. First I needed to bend it slight so it would conform to the natural curve of the phone case. The kit comes with a 3 metal pieces for different setups. One can be added between your phone and case, which can have varying results depending on the case thickness. I have an Otterbox and the magnetism wasn't great enough to remain attached to the magnetic vent mount. The kit contained two metal pieces(1 round and 1 larger rectangle) and each side included sticky tape, which allows for adhering to any device as long as it isn't too heavy.

I found the tape a little tricky to keep adhered to my phone case, which was likely due to the surface being too smooth. My solution was to use a small file to roughen the surface, so the tape to can have something to grab.

Overall I'm very happy with this mount.
Pros:
- Low profile
- Portable
- One handed mounting/unmounting
- $$, Exceptional value
- Includes 3 mounting options. Others can be used for different devices.

Cons:
- Mounting tape could be stronger
- Unmounting takes some practice, so you don't detach the vent mount with the phone. I've found sliding the phone off works great to counter this.
