***50 MILLION TERRY BROOKS COPIES SOLD AROUND THE WORLD***
'Terry's place is at the head of the fantasy world ' Philip Pullman
Ben Holiday, the High Lord of Landover, is back in his rightful place. The evil wizard Meeks has finally been dealt with, and all seems well with the world. But, even in a Magic Kingdom, peace never lasts long.
It was all Questor Thews' fault, really - whether the inept Court Wizard would like to admit it or not. His bumbling attempt to return Abernathy from the body of a dog to his original human form, resulted in the Court Scribe being transported to Earth, to be replaced by a multi-coloured bottle. Furthermore, Abernathy was wearing the High Lord's medallion at the time, without which Ben's powers are drastically reduced.
Ben and Willow set out to find Abernathy, which means following him to Earth. Which means leaving Questor in charge.
And that's when things start to go horribly wrong. . .

The story itself was mostly light and fluffy and fun. Quick read, but a good read.
I've read the mass volumes Terry has written and hands down I'm skewed in my thoughts to like this story a bit less than with the Shannara series. I am enjoying this series while I wait for June 2017 to reveal the latest book of the shannara series that claims to be an end of shannara.

A story of friends and wizardry that is largely spent back in our world. Abernathy - the man turned into a talking dog- is magicked back to Earth when the ditsy Wizard tried to turn him back into a human. He ends up in the castle if the ex prince of landover who is a nasty piece of work
Lots of twists and turns, and a lovely young girl called Elizabeth who does what she can to help
