All the characters have to make difficult decisions and sacrifice much in their desperate effort to save the world and not become puppets in the hands of their would- be oppressors.
I loved every minute of it! The action is non-stop and our heroes face further highs or lows in a masterfully executed fantasy story. Make sure you don't miss it.
So, when Xionne of the Seers, had a vision of Caelum Edge, the deadly sword of an dwarf king of legend, that similé involuntarily came to mind. The Caelum Edge, is one sword even the dwarfs have no idea it might exist... If not for Xionne claiming that it will prove decisive somehow in the coming darkness that will overtake the world. This task to find the Sky Sword falls to Jace and Narine. And that journey is likely as worthy of becoming legend just as well.
If that was all Xionne saw and warned about!
Author Jeffrey L. Kohanek crafted another mind blowing suspenseful epic fantasy in this second Wizardoms series to entrance and keep the reader's attention fully occupied page by page by page of this book.
Sure, the tale has its comical moments of relief (that hammock scene!! And Jace alone with the dwarves! To anyone who eats or drinks while reading - you have been warned!), but the tension always lingers in the background as events unfold. And here is a story that not only affects humans, but elves and dwarves; indeed, the entire world is involved... and at stake.
New prophecies come to light, and our crew of heroes is forced to split into two groups - one off to relocate a child, the other to find a legendary weapon, all in their desperate attempt to save the world from an encroaching darkness.
Packed with blood-pumping action, beautifully crafted characters (with equally fabulous and, at times, downright hilarious interactions), and a sweeping storyline that grips you from start to finish - this book has it all. You feel the depth of a father's heartache, see the vivid landscapes before your very eyes, and hear the sounds of the battles as they unfold. Legend of the Sky Sword is masterfully created.
Honestly, to any and all fantasy lovers out there: If you are yet to dive into Kohanek's epic fantasy worlds - wait no longer! Trust me; you will not regret it!
I received this book as an ARC.
