Had to fix a design flaw

Overall, you can make a good cup of coffee with this pour over cone. It collapses neatly for travel and is light weight. But it has one major design flaw. Because it is silicone it seals over the cup and creates a vapor lock. One must lift the cone off the cup to break the seal so the coffee will continue to drip through. Makes the brewing more trouble than necessary. So I tried cutting a hole in the collar with scissors and this cured that problem. Now the brew time is correct and your coffee comes out right.

Since it functioned so well, I'm even happier I bought this over a big pot because it's so well-suited for travel! It's made of super strong and resilient silicone, so it's incredibly durable and easy to clean. It even came with a carabiner to hang it up to dry. It's lightweight and takes up very little packing space because it folds quite flat, but the outstretched funnel stands up very sturdily on its own. It was so hassle-free, I plan to use it at home as well when I only want a cup or two. I was very satisfied with the quality and the price, and I expect it will last a long time.

I bought this for a camping trip and it worked very well! I thought I might regret not buying something that could brew multiple cups of coffee at once, but this works much faster than I expected and it's so easy to use. After seeing it in action, I realize it's actually quite convenient that it can make the perfect amount of coffee for any cup. The base is wide enough to sit steadily on bigger mugs, but the holes are concentrated in the center so it also works fine with thin travel mugs. Each cup took just a couple minutes to brew so our whole group had coffee in no time, and it tasted as good as the stuff we make at home.
