Wolf Bite is Heather Long's first installment in her Wolves of Willow Bend series. Wolf Bite started out and ended with greatness.

Long did a fantastic job starting and ending this first book. Series starters are always so difficult for this reviewer. Mostly because I am trying to learn a new world while completing a complete story. I think she did a great job at both. I enjoyed the chemistry between Mason and Alexis. Especially trying to figure out, not only the complexity of their history, but the pack dynamic as well.

Wolf Bite certainly focused on Mason and Alexis, but I felt most of their story really paved the way to a much bigger story.

The only thing that didn't work for me was a felt the middle was a little slow. But, since I obsessively was absorbed into the story and didn't put it down until the end I feel that was really a very minor problem.

This is a series that pulled me in and left me pre-ordering book #2 of the Wolves of Willow Bend series.

I rate Wolf Bite 4 out of 5 Bullets!

So, I did enjoy this book. He just made me mad sometimes. LOL. Like how could he leave her? Why would he even be with her knowing he isn't staying? She kinda knows he probably wont stay but she is hoping. However, she didnt think he'd sneak away without even a goodbye or anything. Then she finds shes pregnant. I think she forgives him too easily for that. I mean he really hurt her when he left years ago and he left her again. He's a lone wolf and he did win Alpha for her and their unborn child which crap would have gotten real if he hadn't so he did make a huge sacrifice for her. I also didnt really understand why she wanted to forsake her home and go be with humans. I guess I can understand a little since her adoptive parents were too overprotected and she is human technically. I guess everything comes full circle since she ended up back anyways to be with Mason as alpha. Alexis wasn't without flaws...neither one actually. Enjoyed the book though. :) I did find it funny that he kept breaking her bed. LOL.

Mason' s parents died when he was seventeen and he left the pack, going Lone Wolf. Ten years later he is working in Dallas when he hears a voice and scent from his past in Willow Bend. Lexi stole his heart when they were young and is still captivating, but she is pack, even though she is human. And as a Lone Wolf he can have no contact with pack. But both want answers. Why did he leave? And why is she in Dallas living on her own, unprotected? The answers are connected in a way neither can begin to imagine. And their reunion has put them both in mortal danger.

This is a riveting book of betrayal and redemption. Mason and Lexi are perfect together and have the one thing needed to overcome all obstacles--their love for each other. Although it is book one in a new series, it is also a great standalone. The series has made my auto-buy list and I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love Mason and Alexis! The story is so involved and it's very unique. My heart went out to both of them throughout the book. I became a big fan of Heather Long after this book. This book made me fall in love with Heather Long. I didn't know about her writing until this book and then a new world opened up. I have now read every book she has written and am a huge fan. I adore her characters and those sexy wolves! Her writing gravs you from the get go and you don't want to stop till your finished and then your begging for more. Take the time and start reading as I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Enjoyable read. I found the book to be well crafted. I enjoyed the characters, the story, pretty much everything. In fact, when I finished the book, I was thrilled to see the second in the Willow Bend series had been released. So I just bought and downloaded that one.The author is a talented storyteller. I look forward to more books in the series, and I hope to see how previous character are doing in the town.

I had read a paranormal by the author titled Haunt Me about a year ago and really enjoyed it. Since I had read a book of her, Amazon recommended Wolf Bite. I'm always hesitant about series. I tried it anyways and I was not let down. I really liked how she opened the series being that there usually has to be some world building in the first book. Considering the length it was a really well rounded story complete with suspense, angst longing, conflict and resolution. It was a good introduction to Willow Bend and I look forward to the following books. There was a sneak peek into book 2 at the end. I bought it as soon as it was available and loved it even more!

I'd rate this novella 3.5. This book had an excellent plot, which made it easier to overlook the grammar/dropped word issues a good proof-reader could have caught. Pricing and errors contribute to why I rounded the rating down to 3, rather than up to 4.

Well paced with great characters, I enjoyed the read.

NOTE: I purchased this novella, assuming it was a full length novel (due to pricing); otherwise, I would not have paid 2.99 for an 80pg eBook regardless of the positive reviews and ratings. I'll pay better attention next time.
