The story was interesting too, but I absolutely hated the entire werewolf pack.
Jaxxon and the entire pack can die…such a bunch of Hippocrates- they want to put her on trial and execute her for defending herself from a pack of murdering werewolf exiles.
So it’s ok to go on a killing spree if you are werewolf and we will kill anyone who crosses us.
This werewolf pack is tyrannical.
I have read hundreds of werewolf books and this pack bothers me a lot as they think they are good, but really they are evil and prejudiced.
It bothers me that Jaxon is supposed to be the hero, but they don’t care about anyone but themselves and use the heroine as bait and want her to die for self defense even blaming her for billy and everyone.
I don’t know if I can continue this series unless we drop the entire werewolf pack. The werewolves should be stripped of their authority as they should be protectors and not monsters.
I would carry around wolfbane too if the werewolf pack acted like this.
They need to change drastically.
Her magic family and the heroine are fun and cool for what little I see of them.
The rules make no sense. Killing someone in self defence is not an excuse, they would prefer if you died than fight back. Its weird. I am still trying to understand how someone makes up to a pack that doesnt agree with self defence?
Still not a bad book to read perhaps this pack will be redeemed in second book (unlikely)
It’s full of action and mystery and entertainment and I KNOW it’s just the tiny scratched surface. I was partially clued in but also surprised at a lot of these events. I seriously am rooting for Jaxon and Savannah but I also know it’s gunna get ugly before it gets better. There’s so much to still uncover and it’s not heading in a pretty direction. However, I think Sam and Casey might be my other two favorite characters. I’ll let you read about them but they’re definitely some favorites of mine! I’d love to know more about Savannah’s parents, I have some suspicions that I can’t wait to see if I’m right. I’d also like to know more about Jaxon’s sister.
Overall, lots of magic and awesome wolves and suspense. I’m super pumped about more from this series!! I can’t wait for book 2!! Well done- very well done!!
Savannah is a waitress without any knowledge of her magical background. She soon learns that there is a lot more to this world when werewolves come to hunt her down. Jaxson, also a werewolf comes to save her, despite Savannah being related to his enemies, because of a prophecy. Savannah is thrust into the supernatural world and learns more about her family, her powers, and her own destiny.
Savannah is smart, sassy, and strong willed. She definitely surprised me more than once with her quick decision making and witty dialogue. She is definitely the perfect female to take on Jaxson, the alpha who is used to being in charge.
This is a slow burn. But the sexual tension between Savy and Jaxson is 🔥🔥🔥.
This book is like nothing I’ve read before. This is well written, has unique characters (Casey 😂), is extremely well thought out - the details are amazing! - and brings an entirely new world to life. I truly enjoyed this book, highly recommend reading it, and can’t wait for the next one!

Her godmother tells her where she needs to go but no why?
She tries to make it out of town but Jaxon is hot on her trail. Can she trust the family that ahe never knew about or the man she has just met?
It follows Savannah, a waitress who isn’t aware she has magic and Jaxson Laurent, who you may be familiar with from Hall’s books.
There is a prophecy which leads Jax to Savy and then the wild ride begins.
Trust me you won’t be able to put this one down.
Looking forward to the next book.
