.230 grain 9mm round into a villain' s head. Note that bullet weighs 23/100 of a grain. This is not possible. Suppose the period is a typo. Then it's a 230 grain bullet. That is a normal size for a .45 auto handgun. A 230 grain bullet for 9mm would be possible but would be very long and, when seated in a 9mm shell, could never fit into a 9mm handgun chamber.
Next the hero fires his suppressed 9mm handgun inside an absolutely quiet house killing another bad guy. The house is filled with doomed villains and they never hear a thing when he shoot his "silenced" 9mm. It's suppressed not silenced, it makes noise. They're going to hear it. Sigh!
It's winter on the East side of the Sierra Nevada above Bishop in the mountains. Snow is five feet deep. Need food? Go out from camp a few hundred yards and shoot a mule deer. Not so! As winter arrives animals, such as elk and deer and predators such as wolves (if any), coyotes, foxes will begin to drift down into the valleys. By the time winter arrives there aren't any mule deer in the high country.
So the author doesn't know much about guns kr hunting. But it's anv unusual plot. Not the typical apopolyptic event, I liked it. It's an OK read. Just swallow the SAS stuff.
