This is the 3rd book I've read by this author and again just ends nothing answered nothing explained. I wish we were able to see Jane come into her own. Learn more about her powers, her family. Why was Eric sent home? What was he supposed to look out for? Why did it take until the very end to find out the tiniest detail about her touch and nothing else about, then it was just played off like no big deal when for the entire book it was the main conflict? No explanation on anything or real character development. I won't even touch on Athena and Helen. I just kept waiting for something, anything really to happen. Or at least have questions answered.
I was super excited for this book, but I am just confused.

Started with Book 1 - Minotar's Kiss, then Wolf's Concubine and lastly Wolf's Succubus. Same lame villain, no progress made, many questions about the different couple's NEVER answered.
I continued reading thinking the next book would answer some questions, instead St. Charles started another thread with the villain. Which totally discombobulated an already disjointed story/book due to frequent and unnecessary flashbacks
I hate when Authors cheat to keep readers buying.
St. Charles can write, although the editing is horrible. It's obvious they utilize voice to text, but fail to correct words misunderstood by the software.
So I'm done. Can't trust the author, will not buy any more books.

I’m really having fun with this series. I loved the introduction of more supernatural lore, and Perdition is such a great setting. Loved Jane and Eric too, especially Jane. I liked that their relationship had been building up for a number of years before they went all in. And I’m super interested in the ongoing, second storyline. Some issues though: the editing in this book isn’t as tight as the other three in the series and the copy I got off of amazon is formatted strangely and ended really abruptly? Not sure if that was intentional. Also, the cover threw me off a bit because Jane is described as looking quite different from the cover model (frizzy hair, darker skin, etc.). I know stock photos can cause issues but it was a bit confusing. Looking forward to the next book!

I'm not sure When I started to like Jane, but it took me a while. Eric was a different story, I liked him from the get go. He, Eric, was easily likeabe, whereas Jane's rigidity was off putting. I know she had a fear of harming others, but her lack of curiosity to find out more about herself was infuriating. I am glad she and Eric got together. Now I want to know about Auntie, what's in store for her.
And what's up with Athena? Where Did the Sheriff go? And why is Helen plotting now?
All in all, it was a decent read.

Don't get me wrong I like it but i felt like we were not see a realistic view of world with supernatural elements. All the men have black woman? And plus there just seems to be a disconnect between the people and their history of growing up in this type of world. And the characters did not have much depth to them.

This book reads slower than the first. It took too long getting to the sex scenes of the main characters in the story. This would have gotten a 5 star rating but the sex scenes and finally mating was not a good way to end without the Epilogue being about them.

The story of Jane and Alex was okay. It was cute and all but what really held my attention is the mystery of Athena and Helena. Now that's a story that's sure to be good, if told or written correctly.

I received a free copy for an honest review
What made this story for me was the hero. I haven't read a story recently with a lead male protagonist that I could honestly feel like I am rooting for him from beginning to end. That and I feel AM heros are really hard to come by and the way that the author described him had me biting my finger with a crooked smile with a husky okay I see you Eric.
I thought the heroine was okay but I took a LONG time to warm up to her. It's probably just me and having to shoot at my kids about manners 24/7 that I was initally like, what's her deal. Her cold, cattiness all becomes clear as soon as you start to dive in and I kinda owe Jane an apology for not having her back ( though I'm not crushing on Jane, I'm over here saucin' on Eric LOL)
I don't want to give much away and I've discussed why I loved it but let me say why I think other readers will adore this story without being a spoiler. Having read the Minotaur's concubine, I've come to be floored by the fantastic world building St.Charles does and the not-easily-overcome story lines. The plot here isn't too difficult to understand with the memory loss and all but having the extra twists and turns with the other characters within this world make it all the more interesting. If you're looking for a paranormal out of the ordinary I would totes rec.
