Beware the full moon and the silver dagger. This fearsome Alchemy Gothic pendant brings together two banes of the werewolf in one. The sword's blade is notched as if from frequent use, its hilt formed by three fierce wolf heads. Two beautiful moonstones complete the pendant with their eerie light. 2 1/2" long pendant. The item is described as a pewter dual-wolf's head charm, with two "moonstones," on a chain, and in a gift box.
I was planning to give this to a friend, as a gift. However, because of the condition I received it in, I cannot give it as a gift.
Instead of coming in the advertised gift box, the item came in a dirty, opened plastic bag. Only the smaller moonstones was affixed to the metal charm. The other loose (and damaged) larger moonstone was scotch-taped to the outside of the plastic bag.
As advertised, the facing of this item is exquisite. The manufacturer – Alchemy Of England – did a fantastic design job. However, the back side of the item (i.e. the side touching the wearer's skin or clothing) is unfinished, and is rough enough to scratch that person.
OK, I know that Amazon guarantees products. But quite frankly, I can't take time off from work to wait around for a UPS person pick up the item for return. And now I have to scramble to find a substitute gift, at an additional expense for myself.
The problem I have is that apparently someone from the vendor (BigFlySports) was trying to pull one over on “someone” … and that someone just happened to be me. This is clearly defective merchandise. It was clearly returned by another customer. And it was a premeditated attempt by a shipping clerk to get rid of the defective merchandise. (i.e. scotch-taping a replacement stone). Did they expect me to crazy glue the stone onto the item … find a suitable box … and smooth out the rough backside?
No big deal, except that I payed good money for a finished item which I expected to be shipped, as advertised.
I AM VERY UPSET!!!
This Necklace is being called Wolverine Moon Alchemy Gothic Wolf Sword, not sure where the wolverine comes in but regardless I still like it very much. The detail is rally neat revealing good likeness of the wolves. The center wolf is smaller and maybe it is supposed to be the wolverine, don't know for sure and wolf or wolverine it really is a nice piece of jewelry and I have recieved comments from several friends, some like it and some well they're not sure how it makes them feel. In a way that is the desired effect, is it a representation of evil or good spirits ? It's fun to discuss these thoughts and ideas.
