Theyre now made in china of course
use to be Dominican
The boot itself is almost an inch shorter than they use to be...kind of like a cheap mid high hiking boot
And the bottom tread is a 1/2 inch narrower making them a bit unstable
they do feel more like a sneaker now though
Ive had about 6 pair in the last 12 years only because i have different pair for work..hiking...and just casual
NOT A REAL BOOT ANYMORE
Quality is excellent and definitely comparable to Timberlands.
Fit was right on the money.
Comfort out of the box was not quite as good, but close enough to call it a wash. I don't wear them a whole lot, but they are breaking in nicely.
Definitely a good alternative and have shown that the good reviews are accurate.
Yup, they are "Doug recommended".
