I usually prefer to buy entire original albums. I wish Amazon would offer more of those.

This album offered a song "My Son", about death and some family generations; I loved this. The rest was fine also.

Gary Puckett possesses one of the greatest singing voices I've ever heard. CBS producer Jerry Fuller signed Gary Puckett and the Union Gap to a recording contract in 1967. The band included bassist Kerry Chater, keyboardist Gary Withem, saxophonist Dwight Bement, and drummer Paul Wheatbread. Their first single, "Woman, Woman," reached #4 in 1967. It was featured on their 1968 debut album, which was produced by Jerry Fuller. The album also included the song "Paindrops," written by Jerry Fuller. Gary Puckett's distinctive voice dominated the album, which included cover versions of "By The Time I Get To Phoenix" (written by Jimmy Webb), "You Better Sit Down Kids" (written by Sonny Bono), "Kentucky Woman" (written by Neil Diamond), and "To Love Somebody" (written by Barry Gibb and Robin Gibb). With all of the great albums released in the sixties, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap's debut album should not be overlooked.

Woman, Woman is twenty-seven minutes and forty seconds and was released in February of 1968. Woman, Woman reached #22 U.S. Billboard Pop Albums. Only the title song charted from this album. About half the songs on this album are cover songs. Still Gary Puckett does have an excellent voice. Due to its lack of original songs, Woman, Woman only gets an A- from me.
