I had recently purchased the Rekucci Women's Ease In To Comfort Boot Cut Pant, which is ranked #1 best selling work pant on Amazon. I loved that pant when I first got it, but after washing it loses some of its pizazz because of the high rayon content. Anything with a lot of rayon looks great until it is laundered. Then it looses a lot of its initial appeal, so I am ecstatic that these are so heavy weight and don't have rayon. Even the ones that DO have rayon have only 20% at the highest, whereas both the Rekucci and Leveret brands have 74% rayon in their pull ons. Hopefully Lee will continue to carry this pant as a staple for years to come.
The fabric is a very heavy weight and a very nice quality. They are very slimming with false or 'mock' pockets on both the front and back. They don't gap at the waist when I bend over, which is rare. These are definitely my new favorite work pants!
These jeans have more stretch than most and are generously cut in the seat and thigh, but you would never know it to look at them on - they are very slimming, in particular the flat front. They fit almost loose right out of the dryer, so are a little baggy in the seat and thigh area by the end of one day. The only reason this is not a deal breaker is the waist band is incredibly strong, so they don't sag down too far or feel like they are going to fall off. The waist band does, however, fold itself in half frequently and easily, which could be annoying for some.
These feel like they fit a size too big. Normally I would order a size down from my usual, but in this case I can't because of the length. I am 5'9, curvy, with a 32" inseam and some lingering post baby belly. They are barely long enough, and I suspect with multiple washings they will shrink up enough to make the length bother me more. If I was in better shape with flatter abs, I would order the smaller size and let them ride a little lower on my hips, but I unfortunately need to be able to pull them up high enough to prevent muffin-top, so I'll deal with the sag and work at getting in better shape.
So, if you have an inseam at or under 31", or are taller and lean, order a size down and these should fit great. If you have a longer inseam and are also curvier or out of shape, order your true size and be ok with a little sag. They won't be perfect, but they really are comfortable and classy looking.
NOTE ABOUT SIZING: I normally wear either a size 6 or 8; in these I wear a size 4 for the tighter fit that's in style today, or a 6 for a looser fit that an older woman (like me :-)) may prefer.
