I really enjoyed this book! It is incredibly written and makes me laugh, cry, and really think about our world. I write books myself, and it was good for me to read this book because it helped me get the idea of writing different chapters in different people's perspectives. I am writing about two or three individual stories where it's told by different people. Like this one. My favorite character in this book is Jack. It's funny because he looks just like a kid in my class but acts just like another. Auggie is sweet. Summer is awesome. I want her as a best friend! Julian isn't my favorite, but after reading The Julian Chapter, it helped me to see him as a better kid. That book was so good, I'm not sure if I like it or Wonder better! I then read the other book, Shingaling, which is about Charlotte. I liked that one because it had more about girl drama, friends, and of course, Charlotte's side of the story. I wish it had more with Auggie and Jack though. It also got kind of boring and the plot dragged on.
If you like Wonder, you should read Out of My Mind.
Does anyone know when the movie of Wonder is coming out? My mom said she saw a tailor for it and almost cried. But I looked on iTunes and stuff and it wasn't on there! I need answers!!!
So anyway, I love this book! Anyone would love this book, pretty much!

This book gets five stars from me! It was a really interesting story, and I didn't complain, or anything, whenever my mom told me to go into my bedroom and read, and I usually DO complain because I don't really like reading. This story is about a kid, that has a not very normal face, and goes to school for the first time, in fifth grade, after being homeschooled. In the beginning he has a hard time making friends. At the end, people get used to his face, and making friends is easier. He even gets an end-of-year award for having the kindest heart, and he cuts off his bangs because he doesn't need to hide behind them anymore. Auggie is smart and gets good grades, and he's a nice kid. His friend, Summer, likes that she and Auggie (August) both have similar names. Jack likes Auggie because they joke and have fun together. Jack learned he could count on Auggie when Jack copied from Auggie's homework and Auggie made up a story about them working together. This book is one I'm supposed to read this summer before sixth grade. Because of the book, I thought it's good to be friendly to other people. Everyone faces challenges when entering something new, like when I enter middle school. There are two sayings, "He's an ugly duckling," and "Don't judge a book by it's cover," and those are true of Auggie. The first time everyone runs into Auggie, they take a look at his face and go, "Aagh," and are shocked. When they get to know him better, though, they found out he actually is a really a friendly person. Not everyone has Auggie's disfigurement, but we all have to deal with problems. We're never perfect, but we all have to figure out how to be kind! Signed, Jack

Hi I’m Giuliana Delgado and this is my wonder review so hope you like it… wonder is a book that most people enjoy because it’s a fun and enjoyable book that you can read with your friends and family member. Thing that I like about the book is that it’s a funny and believe it or not the book teaches you something because all the drama and problems it teaches you to be stronger and brave and ignore what people say about you because if you just start crying people will make fun of you because they already know your weaknesses and if you fight back it will make thing worst so it’s does teach you something other thing that I liked about the book is that just because a kid has problem doesn’t mean that the person with problem is dumb or mean because not all kids are like that some are really nice and smart but it doesn’t make them a nerd there is nothing bad about being different . Well my favourite part of the story is part 2 via because it describe her feelings clearly and because she is the only person that really understands august situation because she doesn’t make fun of him or tells him to back off she understand that what august is going through because of the bullying and making fun of him and that’s why I picked her she is a nice big sister that is always there for auggie. The only thing I didn’t like about the book is that it always has a new topic because it always at the end of the chapter it like sometimes it let you hanging in thoughts of what going to happen next and then boom there is not second part. I liked the ending because it was nice and happy ending that lets you know that auggie has a better life now

I decided to pick this book up on a whim. It's different from the usual genre I read, however, I am very glad I decided to step out of what I normally read because this is one of the best books I've read this year. It truly deserves to be on the best sellers list. What I love most about this book is how it is written from multiple perspectives. To hear the story from Auggie's point of view makes you see the adversity one faces when they are noticeably different from others. It allows for understanding when you have never experienced anything like what Auggie went through. You can see how cruel people can be and the strength it takes to endure those hardships. But it also allows you to see the good that people can have and how someone who is different might make the biggest impact on your life. It teaches us that we shouldn't judge people by they're exterior, and that extraordinary people don't have to look a certain way. What was exceptionally interesting was to see Auggie's story from the perspective of those around him: like his older sister, his friends Summer and Jack, and others close to him. To see how they view Auggie creates a more complete picture of who he really is and what he means to those around him. Also to see how others lives are affected by those who are born with differences. Even though this is a young adult I highly recommend it for adults as well. Its a relatively short read, I finished it in about 2 days, but that is because I barely put it down. Also make sure you have a box of tissues while you read this, it pulls at some major heart strings. I am very excited to read the other books related to this one. Props to R. J. Placido for this incredible read!

My son was introduced to this series by his teacher and he loved it. He wasn't satisfied borrowing the book from school he wanted to own it. We ordered the series and are very happy with our purchase. The price was more than fair for hardcover books and it was delivered on time. I highly recommend these books because they are entertaining and heartfelt my daughter loved the series as well. We are excited that the movie version is coming out soon!

This is a book that all middle school students should read. As a teacher, I'd make sure it was brought into an ELA class because there are so many social stigmas at the middle school level. RJ Palacio does an excellent job at making the characters very vivid as you go through the book. There are just so many positives and as a special education teacher I know how much some students need this book to understand subjects that are often not discussed. If my child is a struggling reader at this level, I'd read it together because the child would be very engaged and you'd probably learn a lot.

This book truly touched my heart in so many ways. Children can be so cruel, adults also, but this story highlighted the bravery of one little boy, the true kindness of a little girl and another little boy and the true love of a family. It also featured a bully, in all his "glory", be brought to his knees while the real hero of this story won the respect and love of everyone in he and by just being true to himself. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to see the movie! I will be purchasing the 365 quotes and plan to feature it in my office and share them with my team. Everyone can benefit from more kindness. Thank you, R.J., for the reminder....

Best book I have read all year...maybe in the last couple years. It has been a long while since a book has touched me so much. Simply written, but the heart behind the writing was felt in every word. I giggled, I growled, I bawled. (Yes these are the measurements I use to how good a book is...the emotional reaction it provokes in me.)

This is going into a top tier on my "to read again" list. It was amazing!

I enjoyed this read so very much! I know it is a book for youngsters and I passed that stage long ago. However it is a book that no matter your age you will absolutely get into. Brilliantly written with a brilliant story, this book is a must-read!

This is one of the best books I have ever read. At 67 years old, I am hardly a "Young" reader, but it captured my attention, my conscience and my heart almost immediately. It was recommended to me by my two sisters, both retired elementary school teachers. My daughter and my grandson (age 7) are currently loving it. It's such an incredibly positive and important piece of literature. With the current demise of our good manners, curtesy and humanity, and with such horrible examples being set for our children, this book is a must read for every child and young adult, hopefully before it's too late! Aggie, Summer, Jack, Via, Mr. Tushman, Justin, Miranda, Isabel and Nate are all people we can aspire to be, I am so thankful for this book - particularly Mr. Brown's "precepts". What an uplifting and reaffirming book.
