Wonder Woman 2: The Golden Age Paperback – December 18, 2018

4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 68 ratings

The earliest adventures of Wonder Woman are collected in this new trade paperback graphic novel series, continuing with WONDER WOMAN: THE GOLDEN AGE VOL. 2!

The most famous of all the women who have ever been called a superhero, Wonder Woman exploded into the world of comic books amid the uncertainty and bleak determination of World War II. Fighting for justice and treating even her enemies with firm compassion, Wonder Woman brought not a cape nor a ring nor a personal fortune or hidden clubhouse, but a magic lasso that compelled anyone it held to tell the truth, and bracelets that could not only deflect bullets but prevent Wonder Woman from ever using her superpowers for unchecked destruction.

The earliest stories of the Amazon Warrior are collected here in WONDER WOMAN: THE GOLDEN AGE VOL. 2, featuring the adventures of Wonder Woman as she tackles corruption, oppression and cruelty in the early days of World War II. Collects SENSATION COMICS #15-24, WONDER WOMAN #4-7 and COMIC CAVALCADE #2-5

Wonder Woman is a Wonder!

Kindle Edition. These volumes feature the comics written and drawn in the WW2 era to the early fifties. In Volume One and some of volume 2 Wonder Woman is fighting the Axis who are trying to sabotage and destroy military bases and factories in the US. Note: the drawings are not always politically correct. But on the other hand, they were trying to kill and destroy the Allies.Wonder Woman works in disguise as a secretary named Diana Prince for the US Military under Captain Steve Trevor. He can be a lunkhead at times but is good in a fight. He doesn’t know that Diana and Wonder Woman are one in the same. Also helping Wonder Woman is Etta Candy and members of a college sorority. WW has incredible strength, can communicate by telepathy, and pilots an invisible plane. She also makes sarcastic remarks when in trouble. This reminds me of Spiderman’s banter from the old Saturday morning Spiderman cartoons. The stories are adventurous and make you wonder how WW will get out of trouble. The drawings are old fashion and give a nostalgic feel. The kindle edition allows you to either read the whole page or one panel at a time. Wonder Woman saves innocent people, helps children get back on the straight and narrow, and beats the cruel and evil enemies of freedom and democracy! Thumbs Up!

This couldn't have been in much better condition! OMgoodness!! Thanks so much. This is being gifted to my 86 year Mom-in-law that grew up reading Wonder Woman and received Vol.1 last year and adored it. I have had a hard time finding a good condition one and yours was AWESOME!
