When I first unboxed this I thought it was too large for my Asus Flip Chromebook. That was furthered when I tried to type and found the lip that holds the laptop on the surface was too tall and hurting my wrists. Then I thought, since this thing has such huge adjustability, why can't I turn the tray over so the lip is facing down and, voila, that worked! Only caveat is that will work only for laptops that will fit between the brackets on the underside of the tray, 12.75" or less.

This item feels pretty well made for $30+/- and is highly adjustable. Now that I've found I can type comfortably with the lip down, I can also see using the tray flipped the other (normal) way to do more supine viewing where the lip will come in handy to hold the laptop from sliding into my face. Win!

Perfect, Flexible, Sturdy Laptop Stand for My Needs

One of my favorite products purchased in 2017. Very sturdy, and the "joints" click into place with a very solid feel. Much cheaper and adaptable than an expensive, heavy vari-desk. All you have to do is experiment with different positions a few times to see what works for you.

I have whipped it into position under my laptop (with one hand) during long conference calls to go from sitting to standing (or vice versa). I also use it in bed to surf, read, or watch movies. It only takes about 30-45 seconds to change the legs to go from desk to bed /couch mode. The push-button "joints" have angle readings and pointers that make the settings quickly repeatable.

Yet another plus: folded flat, it fits in my briefcase to take to a client's office for a long workday (or on a flight for several workdays).

The ventilated platform is also an excellent, important feature. I previously warped a laptop battery by using it on a surface that didn't allow it to cool properly. Problem solved.

$30 for a very flexible product versus $200+ for a fancy, heavy behemoth? For me, a no-brainer.

VERY nice. I kinda wish the indicators were 360 degree instead of 180 degrees on both sides.
Plastic components seem very good. I would advise taking an Exacto knife or razor blade the the edge of the plastic tray base. I few spots had extra plastic at the molding seem edges that were sharp to the touch.
I might add 2 small rubber adhesive pads to the inside of the tray to add some traction.

Tip: Save the box (or cut out the section) as the back shows the angle settings for different configurations.

Good for you posture and neck, but not easy to adjust

I'll start with the good. It puts the monitor at eye level, therefore improving my posture. I don't want neck problems, plus looking down pulls my head down, making it uncomfortable. It's good when you get the angles right, but it is quite cumbersome to change and adjust it. You have to do each hinge at a time, and there are 6 of them. It sometimes takes 2 hands to adjust the hinge sometimes. If you know exactly how you like it set, then adjusting it to the setting will be easier. If not, then it could be annoying to find what works for you. The other thing that bugs me is that I have a MacBook Air. It's quite flat and slim. The lip on the table part is taller than my keyboard, so it is uncomfortable to rest my wrists on it.

It's very adjustable an easy to use. It's light and very stable. The surface is painted with a crinkle finish, which keeps the computer from slipping. My laptop is heavy, six pounds, but no issues with flexing. I can't imagine working without this.

I'm bed-ridden quite often and one of my main forms of entertainment is my tablet. When I do work from home (which is often) I use my tablet and a Bluetooth keyboard but I was getting a crick in my neck (and worsened pain than I normally have in other places) trying to type or read off of it in bed. So far, this had alleviated a great deal of that problem and it works really well for it.

The cons to it, however, is that it can be a nightmare to move the arms of it around. The buttons are hard for someone with stiff (or arthritic, I guess) hands to push in and sometimes they just get stuck halfway in for some reason that I've yet to figure out. So sometimes adjusting it to do different things (like read on my tablet and then lower the tray down to make typing easier) is just more trouble than it's worth. The little lip on it would also be better if it had something soft on it because it can seriously cut in to a persons hand when they're typing which is relatively unpleasant.

Works amazing to my daughter who has special needs. I needed a table that my daughter could use on the floor while she is on therapy. She is unable to site without support so i needed something really low but would be open enough that she has a lot of space to work her arms and legs. This worked wonders. Even our Occupational Therapist loved this. And we can adjust it as my daughter grows. It doesn't even take much space when we don't use it.

I am sure it works amazing on laptops but this is more amazing as I can use it for something rewarding for my child.

I bought this product a year ago as a Christmas gift for my husband who often works from home all hunched over his laptop. We have both used it and found that it assists a lot in developing a better posture and of course saving his man parts from overheating. It's easy to use and doesn't require much effort. The downside is that I find it to be very creaky in terms of noise after some use and it would have been even more useful if there was some sort of flat base that could have been attached to the last leg to allow for more height and use away from your lap entirely. Maybe that part is me being nitpicky because I'm pregnant so my belly bumps against the stand and my thighs are a bit thicker now.

I needed a stand to rest my laptop on mostly whilst sitting so I can maintain my posture and keep my laptop at eye level when using it. Plus, I had looked at quite a few laptop stands, it needed to be versatile so that I can use it whilst sitting or standing and this laptop stand can be used in both these varying positions. The adjustable laptop stand arrived promptly, already assembled so you just have to play around with the settings to position it how you want. Initially it can seem quite fiddly but eventually you get use to changing the settings. Although I did not use the position shown on the box for when you are sitting, I had to use a different one. Otherwise it meant that the stand is not stable when I am sitting on the couch. The stand is made from metal and the legs from durable plastic - so seems strong enough. It folds away easily, I have just had it a few months and I use it most days.

Although it says all metal, joints are made of plastic, if you want to use it while standing and your desk is normal flat surface there is a risk of this product slipping is very high. So I am considering to buy some kind of anti slip Mat with it otherwise it might fall and damage the equipment on it.
Setting up the product at the right height is not very easy need to make sure that both legs are perfectly balanced and weight of the laptop is evenly distributed else platform might fall.
Mouse pad when joined is not very flat which means that it you are using a wireless mouse it can easily fall from the mouse platform, I use wired one which kind of help as wire keep the mouse on the mouse platform.
Saying that this item is all metal was exaggeration because of plastic joints Which makes it a weak product.
Product was dirty when got delivered.
On the positive side product is very light and do what it suppose to do.

Bought it for my uni student daughter who seemed to allows like having her laptop on her lap whilst studying our gaming. She initially thought that it wouldn't make much difference but having reluctantly tried it said that it did make a big difference in terms of comfort and use and doesn't use her laptop without it now.

It's designed really well, so easy to set up and keeps her laptop in place well. Its lightweight but very sturdy and allows for ventilation which is a great design feature.

Although I bought it to use when not using her desk but it can be used with her desk as well and put stuff (papers, phone, etc) under it.

Would definitely recommend and buy this again.

Handy gadget to raise laptop to comfortable working level

I also like to stand sometimes and occasionally also use this to work from the sofa. It takes a bit of fiddling around with the adjustments- but I get there eventually. Perhaps in time it will become easier for me to quickly snap the parts into place. Comfortable to work on and feels sturdy. My place isn’t big enough to fit a standing desk in , so this is the perfect compromise.
