So overall, hardware-wise it's got great potential. If you have a kid that already has had a Dash and is ready for the next step up, they will certainly love this and figuring out new things to do with their robot that weren't available on the Dash. But if this is for a kid that has yet to learn any programming yet, this is not what you want, save a little money and get the Dash instead, for all the much better educational apps and materials that are available. Hopefully Wonder Workshop will eventually remember that they did make this robot too and start providing better apps and the actual "games and challenges" for it that are promised.
