TLDR; this pillow is very comfortable, not hot like other memory foam, and completely customizable to any type of sleeper, even if you sleep on your stomach like I do. I HIGHLY recommend it!
I have been using the same type of cheap pillow for years; about 2” thick and filled with everything but memory foam.
I’m a side and stomach sleeper so all of these super firm pillows and particularly memory foam pillows will destroy my neck. My pillow was getting old so I thought it might be time to start searching for a replacement.
When I first got the delivery I was confused because it was a cylinder. But the pillow was just compressed and rolled and sealed. It was heavy as I expected because that’s how memory foam is. I opened the packaging and let it ‘re-inflate’ as the directions said. The thing was so thick I thought this isn’t gonna work at all.
I read the information in the package and realized there was an outer pillow case and an inner pillow case. The inner is one of those hypo allergenic cases white a tiny zipper that recessed under the fabric so no poking you in your sleep. The instructions said to remove filing to get the desired feel. So that’s just what I did.
I removed enough filling to get the pillow to a much thinner state that I knew wouldn’t kill me. I then zipped up the inner case and then the plush outer case and gave it a run.
It’s been two weeks now and I have to tell you THIS IS A GREAT PILLOW! I adjusted it after the first night by removing a little more filing and it’s now perfect.
ZERO neck pain no matter whether I’m on my side or stomach
COMFORTABLE as can be and the shredded memory foam conforms to me perfectly with out being hot and heavy like typical memory foam pillows.
I haven’t slept this good with no neck or shoulder pain in years!
The only negatives, and I say negatives very loosely, are that the super plush putter pillow case makes the pillow a little warm. It’s very soft and very well made though. That’s easily fixed by removing it. And the shredded memory foam feels a tiny bit lumpy for the first few seconds you lay on it. BUT being shredded is also what seems to keep this pillow from getting hot like other memory foam products so it’s really a good thing.
In short; this is an amazing pillow and it’s really inexpensive. It doesn’t matter how you sleep you can adjust to perfectly fit you, even if you sleep on your stomach. I’d recommend this pillow to anyone! I’m ordering one for my wife ASAP!
