The Wonderful World of Sporting Dogs-Polishing a Bird Dog's Field Performance VHS
This program features professional breeder and trainer Joe Regan who fell in love at the age of nine with an Irish Setter bird dog and had been involved with hunting dogs all of his life. He has developed field champions and futurity winners in AKC and FDSB competitions, and has trained for the public and major kennels, including Grouse Ridge Kennels in New York and Wiregrass Plantation in Georgia. He now operates his own shooting preserve and traininng kennel in Sherburne, New York. Visit with Joe as he works in the field to refine the talents of four outstanding sporting dogs. Observe how his years of experience training dogs for hunting companions and field trials has produced training techniques that really work. Using dogs that he has actually trained, he shares his experience with them in order to illustrate some effective ways to bring out the best of their natural talents.
