Works great at fraction of cost of traditional product. At this price, the only thing I question is the plastic bands. I'm used to actual copper metal bands. But I didn't want to spend $100 or more.
I secured it w/cable ties around circumference to aid in supporting side walls. May be unnecessary. You won't find cable ties long enough but you can incorporate several in tandem.
After months of use, holding up well. Trying to learn sushi techniques, so I use every single day.

Well made, does exactly what it's supposed to do.......this 13" size holds two cups of rice easily with plenty of surface area to cool rice and mix in seasoned vinegar. Be sure to slightly dampen interior with wet towel before putting rice in. Cleans very easily with a damp paper towel after use. DO NOT SOAK, it will crack if it dries out too quickly. There is no finish or coating on the wood by design. Great product, reasonable price.
