From the Author
Throughout history, many time periods stand out as exceptional in charting the course of the world. They are usually marked by new discoveries that open up new frontiers, or they involve desperate struggles that determine the fate of mankind. Such was the case in the days of Columbus, and in the great Westward expansion of the United States. In recent times, the two World Wars of the Twentieth Century settled the issue of freedom or tyranny for much of civilization and defined the political boundaries of nations.
The people who experienced these events certainly knew they were living in historic times. Those who were born after World War II entered into a period of discovery and adventure as well, only theirs was in a different realm. Their frontier was that of the mind, uncovered and unleashed by the advent of psychedelic drugs. A number of unique factors bonded with this new phenomenon to create a period of unprecedented harmony, creativity and social upheaval. It all came together on a farm in upstate New York in an event known as Woodstock. The sub-culture of those who lived out that ideology came to be known as the Woodstock Nation.
For those who were drawn to it, the allure of this culture was romantic and seductive. Many saw the idealistic dreams of peace and harmony as the solution to all of mankind's problems. However, the emphasis on pleasure and drug use wreaked havoc on the moral fabric of a generation and left many ruined lives in its wake. The good news is, God has provided the way to escape.
From the Inside Flap
August 15, 16, and 17, 1969. Hundreds of thousands of hippies converge on a farm in upstate New York. The Woodstock Festival became the symbol of a peace and love movement that came and went in just a few short years. Though its time was short, the effects and influences of this era were profound, and are still with us today. This book will take you on an odyssey from the development of the Woodstock ideology into the world of international pot smuggling, and through the spiritual victory of one who makes it to the other side.
How did Dustin Morgan get here? What dreams, experiences, and ideals could bring him to the point where he would risk his life and his future for the chance to make it rich? He loves the adventure, the prestige and the pleasures of the drug dealing lifestyle. Little does he know that the things he has grown to cherish will bind him like a slave. Even when he hears the Spirit calling, he simply does not want to give up his old life.
But this is not the end of the story. The ups, the downs, the bondages, and the freedoms are not unique to this one man, or to this generation in history. They are common to all. The deliverance and the victory are also available to all who will seek it. This is the story of one such wanderer who finds the key to eternity.

This is not a work that one will finish in an afternoon. For the older reader, it is an ‘up close’ look at an era gone by. For the younger reader, it is a firm, unflinching look back at what life was like for your grandparents during the ‘summer of love’ era, and how--inch by inch--arrived in our modern times. To both groups of readers, there will be an ending that will reward your efforts.
However, let us not put the cart before the horse. We have to start at the beginning. The main character, Dustin Morgan did not ‘set out’ in life to become a drug smuggler…but Morgan enters the profession, well aware of the risks attached to it. We start out aboard one of his ‘runs’ under the radar and over international waters into the USA. Through a series of events, Captain Morgan lives to fly another day…by the skin of his teeth.
There is more ahead. For example, why the Woodstock era was important and how fast the idealism crumbled into dust as Morgan--like others--had to wonder where the ‘good vibes’ went. Drifting along in life, Morgan soon finds that what was missing from the ‘good times’ that he had been enjoying was a relationship with God, through Jesus Christ. However, the ‘old life’ wasn’t going to willingly let Morgan go.
“From Woodstock To Eternity” is available through Amazon.com, and your favorite on line bookseller. Cooper supplies a work that shows the dangers of the drug trade--and the way out of it, if one wants to make a real choice.
