Two reasons I didn't give it five stars: One, the author is really enthusiastic about direct selling, and keeps mentioning it - more than is necessary or justifiable. We get it, you worked for Amway or Mary Kay or something like that. Moving on.
Two - in a mistaken attempt to appeal to a broad base of readers, the author injects into the text the "I'm just like you" phrases that are - again - unnecessary and unjustifiable. "I'm bad at budgeting, any talk of taxes makes me sleepy, my house is a mess, I'm so disorganized..." What a waste of text space. Just state what you need to state, and try not to patronize the thinking reader or to kowtow to the lazy one.
But still worth a read. If a second edition is in the works, I would recommend getting a proofreader to take out the grammatical errors and the formatting inconsistencies.
Good job Leslie!
