I used this thing constantly on my Motorola Electrify and absolutely LOVED IT!!!! However, I just changed to a Samsung Galaxy S III and no longer will this thing work. It constantly force closes whenever I try to open up any of the settings menus. If you notice, the last time this was updated was 2010. Their email response to me was that they are working on new apps which take priority over old ones. So, if you've purchased this app for $10 bucks, you're out of luck on getting it updated. Worthless developer in my opinion.

I have used this app for years (both the cardio trainer free and then the pro). 12/06 my phone said it needed and update and since the update I can neither change the settings or get the app to work correctly without it saying there was an error and shutting down. Also, the app updated automatically and did not give any prompt to backup my workout history... so i lost my last 6 months of workouts. If the app gets fixed, i'd love to keep using it on my Motorola Razor.

I got this pro version when it was free here on amazon. As stated multiple times download the free version then upgrade it with this "pro" version.

I started using this a few weeks ago to track how far I was walking with the GPS. It also supposedly tracks calories burned and provides some sort of rating at the end of the work out.

No idea how accurate the calorie indicator is: I also own a fitbit which tracks distance and calories burned and it gives me a wildly different number.

I actually don't really care about earning four apples, sharing my progress on twitter and facebook or how many calories I've burned. All I really wanted to have was an accurate indicator of how many miles I went. And this seems to provide this information easily.

There's actually a list of different forms of exercise you can choose like walking, running, treadmill, biking, aerobics, boxing...not sure how you'd keep hold of a phone while boxing but there you go. The categories are probably more for tracking different types of work outs then anything else. I have only used it for walking and bicycling so far. Again, I have doubts about the calories burned indicator for bicycling since the phone obviously has no way of knowing how much I coasted or what gear i was in or whether I was climbing hills or coasting down them. It's fun to see a distance indicator for biking though.

If I was more into the social integration (and playing music off my phone) I think I would get a lot more out of it. As it stands for me it just does a really great job of tracking distance walked I assume at least as accurately as GPS can provide and that part certainly seems to work.

I did have to change a few of the default settings about sharing.

I have used this app for years (both the cardio trainer free and then the pro)& I loved it! I got a new phone in Dec & Cardio Trainer Pro updated and since the update/new phone I can't change the settings or get the app to work correctly without it saying there was an error and shutting down. I hate I had to uninstall this app & find another fitness app :(!

I have suggested this app several times in the past. I got the galaxy 3 recently and now the app is not working properly. Unable to change settings without it shutting down.

FIRST, get the free app, THEN this one. K?

Anyway, this is IMO the BEST Android application I've run across. And speaking of running, Cardio Trainer has features for running, biking, treadmill, jogging, walking, the whole nine yards when it comes to exercise. It can log the calories you eat and track you weight, it has GPS for recording you workout methods. You can even race yourself to see if you can beat your workout time. Lastly, it can synchronize your data to Noon and Google Health, which is a pretty good add on to this laundry list of features. If you want a great workout app, this is it. If you're looking for an app that shows off the developing prowess of Android, you've found it.

To give this app anything less, even over a device mishap, would be cruel.
