Really groundbreaking material that goes beyond Mary Magdalene and into other important characters of the bible. This book is both a theologian's analysis and research into biblical material but also a text of participatory social justice activism. Ipsen centers a roundtable discussion among sex workers about the passages in question and details their struggle for rights. This book changed my relationship to theology.
