I'm running this board with an Intel 2500K @ 4ghz, Gskill 16gb DDR3 1866mhz, Crossfire Sapphire 6950's, 2x Corsair SSD 120gb sata 3, 2x 640gb Western Digital Black's, Creative X-Fi Titanium HD, Sony Mutli Card Reader, LG Sata 2 DVD-RW, and a Corsair AX850 watt power supply. Everything is running without a hitch.

Pros:
Dedicated Intel Network cards.
NF200 chip.
Excellent build quality.
Great overclocker.
Dual, tri, and quad SLI and dual and quad Crossfire.
Great power efficiency
4 pin molex connector on motherboard to supply more power to the PCI-Express lanes.
Intel 22nm processor support with latest bios.

Cons:
No USB 3 front panel header.
No Crossfire Bridge.

The WS Revolution is simply a fantastic board that truly is a workstation quality board. If your looking for a top of the line motherboard that's build quality is excellent, then look no further.

EDIT: This motherboard failed within the warranty period and was returned under warranty. The replacement was DOA, but Asus sent a new in box retail P8Z77 WS (upgrade) to replace the defective product.

I am using a core i5-2500K with this motherboard and I had no issues with the installation at all on a fresh hard drive. I have 8 GB of G.Skill Ripjaws (1600 MHz CL8) installed (both in the blue slots, also verified that black slots functioned) and I had no issues with the installation. The HD Audio works fine with my 5.1 surround headphones and the optical output of the HD audio works fine on my 5.1 DTS/Dolby 5.1 compliant receiver. I had no conflicts with USB 3.0 backup hard drives or with SATA 3.0 (6GB/sec) Hard Disks.

Furthermore, I'm using this board for a 4.8 GHz overclock on air cooling running at 1.400V and it's stable in Prime95 Blend (customized for 90% RAM use) for 18+ hours. The voltage regulation is top-notch on this board and the XMP memory profile worked perfectly.

Pros: Native USB 3.0 support, Native SATA 3.0 (6 GB/s) support, true dual PCIe 2.1 x16 support, PCIe 2.1 x16 / x8 / x8 support, upcoming Ivy Bridge Support, upcoming PCIe 3.0 support (slot 1 only), ATX form factor, high quality VRM support, and an additional Marvell SATA 3.0 (6GB/s) port for expansion devices.

Cons: No Native BlueTooth support, no USB 3.0 front panel support and no USB 3.0 header on motherboard, so only two USB 3.0 ports on-board. (Neither were an issue for me, so no change in star rating.)

Two of the memory slots were defected, number 1 and 2 slots to be exacted. The funny thing is even the tech. from Asus does't know what he was talking about. He said that it is normal to populated number 3 and 4 slots first or slot 1 and 2 won't work before populating slot 3 and 4. I don't think that is correct because I built computers before, and even on their manual states that the board should be always populated slot 1 and 3 or slot 2and 4 if installing 2 memory cards. I also had same issues with Asus p67 z68 v pro, not once but 3 times with different boards, but as always Amazon has been really good with returns, no questions asked. David

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issue you had with the motherboard.

Per the product manual for this specific product, if you're using two memory modules, they should be positioned in slots DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2 (2nd and 4th slots). Some motherboard may have different slot recommendations, please always consult the manual before install.

Please try memory listed in our Qualified Vendor List (QVL) available on the motherboard support page. Memory listed here are known to be compatible with the motherboard. In addition, for Intel CPU's memory voltage of less than 1.65V is recommended. After you power on but before POST, press the MemOK! button (if available) to begin automatic memory compatibility tuning for successful boot

If after installing additional memory modules from the QVL in slots 1 and 3 and were not detected, the slots may be defective. We suggest requesting a case/RMA for the motherboard. Sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to contact me below. Thank you.

The audio doesn't work. Windows 7 64. Had problems with the board not booting after shutdown. I installed ram in the blue ram slots as recommended. When I installed them in the black slots the problem disappeared. Still having trouble getting the on board audio to work.

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issue you're having with the motherboard.

If you have not installed the drivers for sound, please download it from the motherboard product page. Make sure you connect headphone or speaker to the green output if you're using the rear panel. Please go to Device Manager and check if you see a question mark or exclamation point next to "Sound, video, and game controller". If you do, that means the drivers was not install or installed correctly.

Please contact me at cl-benson@asus.com ref#C1037-306 to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.
