Editorial Reviews

About the Author

Jamell started writing poetry at the age of 13. It wasn't until his late 20s where he took his writing ability seriously and began writing books. Jamell has a passion for storytelling and writing about things that can relate to people in the world. His goal is to write as many books on societal issues that don't get discussed enough in today's world. In his spare time when Jamell isn't working on a plethora of poetry book ideas, he likes to write shorter poems that he posts on his social media pages. He loves to play basketball as his way of working out. He loves to listen to all different genres of music which gives him a lot of his ideas. He also gets ideas from experiences he's dealt with on his own along with people in his life and through his vision of the world today. Jamell hopes to inspire others, to open up more dialogue on societal issues and to change how we perceive each other. He feels we judge people off of race, gender social class instead of looking at everyone as human beings who experience different things that make us who we are. At the end of the day, we are human beings with feelings and emotions and we should be more compassionate with others and our experiences in life.
