From the Back Cover

Science and Philosophy have made tremendous strides in understanding just what this universe and our world is really like, as opposed to what our senses and our brains tell us. The differences are huge and unless we understand just how little that we 'see' and otherwise sense and interpret, we will not be able to fully live - or maybe even survive as a species.
Our senses were developed in a way that, using the superior abilities of our brain we could survive in a competitive and sometimes dangerous environment. As Homo sapiens we have not only survived, but prospered - in fact we have done so well that we are now seriously damaging the world that gives us the chance to live. We are failing partly because we do not properly understand our universe, this beautiful blue planet and its entire web of living and non-living components.
This book will provide you with an introduction to what we can sense, what we cannot 'see' directly, what other animals can sense, and also the sixth senses that we ignore to our peril. With a better understanding of what our universe is really like, and the limits of our direct and embellished senses, it is possible that we will begin to understand enough information that we are presently ignoring.
As a result, the planet may yet let us survive as the evolving and loving species, Homo spiritus. Yeah God.

About the Author

The author writes as Jesuis Laplume (from the French words ‘je suis la plume’ or ‘I am the pen’) on matters of Science and spirituality. I was trained as a scientist in an Engineering faculty, graduating with a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics (Aeronautical Option) and, after an apprenticeship in the aircraft field, moved into spacecraft component and system design and development. My Science training was short on specifics and thorough on Science and Mathematics. It was also well suited to helping move new Science into new practice, as well as helping determine the ‘Right’ questions to ask in any field of endeavor. After retirement I began studying what was going on at the leading edge of most Science fields and learned a lot from over a decade and a half of the studies of the local group, ‘The Forum on Faith and Science.’ I read widely on both the history of Science and the various fields of ‘The New Spirituality,’ where some branches are trying to redevelop the initial messages of the old Religions and the new understandings of what pure information, thought, emotion and prayer / meditation could tell us about ourselves and our universe. I am developing a website at http://www.jesuislaplume.com and have a large number of books and eBooks written or under consideration; as well as a Newsletter and set of Blog posts. Suggestions as to what readers would like to see next are welcomed. My primary purpose is to present the limitations of what we know and help readers better understand the questions that they should be asking about Who they really are and Why we are here having this journey as a human being. There is a great deal of misinformation being passed around, most of which is Fear-based rather than Love-based. Love is much more powerful than Fear and is the way we must go if we are to survive as a species. For more see the above website.
