Other works include Western Terror: From Potosi to Baghdad, Indonesia: Archipelago of Fear, Exile (with Pramoedya Ananta Toer, and Rossie Indira) and Oceania – Neocolonialism, Nukes & Bones. Christopher Black is an international criminal lawyer based in Toronto, Canada. He has been a trial lawyer for 37 years, first for Canadian National Railways and Air Canada, then with TransCanada Pipelines. In 1987, he became a criminal defence lawyer doing legal aid work in Toronto and other cities in Ontario. In 2000, he became lead defence counsel at the Rwanda War Crimes Tribunal where he defended General Augustin Ndindiliyimana, Chief of Staff of the Rwanda Gendarmerie and won his acquittal on all charges of genocide and crimes against humanity in 2014. He was a Vice-Chair of the International Committee For the Defence of Slobodan Milosevic and Chair of the Legal Committee. He writes essays, articles and papers on international law and other issues. Some of his poetry was published in Canada and Russia. His first novel, Beneath The Clouds, is about resisting the secret police state. Peter Koenig is an economist and geopolitical analyst, and a former World Bank staff. He worked extensively around the world – Latin America, Africa, East and South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa – in the fields of environment and water resources. Increasingly his focus has become water as a human right, the theft of water through privatization by transnationals and too-big-to-fail banks, and the annihilation of water resources, bio-diversity, social fabric and community health by reckless and outrageous mining. He writes for Global Research, ICH, TeleSur, RT, Sputnik News, and other non-mainstream media. He is the author of Implosion – An Economic Thriller about War, Environmental Destruction and Corporate Greed. He lives in Europe and Latin America.
