About the Author
The Amazon Shorts Program has breathed new life back into the realm of short stories. It provides a platform for legendary authors as well as some of the most talented new voices in the country to showcase their very best short literature. This anthology of short stories written by 19 Amazon Shorts published authors is the brainchild of Lana M. Ho-Shing, who first expressed the idea on an Amazon Shorts discussion board. E. Don Harpe suggested the theme: writing stories using a view of THE WORLD OUTSIDE THE WINDOW. Submissions were requested, nineteen talented authors replied, and this book became a reality.

Robert Meacham, poet and novelist
Writing is the foundation for that adventure. As a writer, we are only limited by our own imaginations. Again, an idea, a thought or suggestion can spark a phenomenon of an experience. I have recently had the pleasure of being a part of something like that. Something that started with a thought, and a group of Amazon-shorts writer's came together to build a world of amazement. The idea was simple, imagine you're in a room, any old room, and you can see a window. You see things going on outside that window, and then . . . That was where each author had the chance to take the seed and build their own little world, limited only by their imagination.
19 Authors came together to bring you an extraordinary book of short stories, from all genres. Each story is complex and brilliant in its own way, with a creative style and voices all belonging to one specific author. Then the stories themselves are so diverse, everyone can find a story they like in this omnibus, chances are that most will like this entire compilation. I am a fan of it myself, and not just because I have a story on the pages within, but I was amazed at some of these breathtaking stories.
The story I have in the collection is called `Twilight,' with NO relation to the Meyer books. The story is about a soldier fighting in the war in Iraq, and he sees the good he is doing and understands that, but in a flash finds that it's time to come home. . .
I think everyone will be blown away by this anthology, I know I was, and I'm in the book.
This is one of the best examples of modern era short story writing that I have been privileged to read. The stories are compelling and exciting, and The World Outside The Window is a satisfying book, one that will bring you back for a second, and maybe even a third look.
E. Don Harpe, author KILLING FROST
Originally from the Amazon Shorts program, where other works by the group can be found, this Anthology is proof of good citizenship, and execellent writing skills. Thanks to Amazon and RJB publishing, what you now hold in your hand is a literary treat.
19 authors, some who have never met, contributed to this ammzing book with stories that are as devirse as the writers themselves; One idea from 19 points of view.
