The measured voltage of 41V, is due to the phenomenon known as "no-load voltage" when the power supply is not connected to any device. No-load voltage refers to the terminal voltage when no current is drawn from The power supply, essentially the open-circuit terminal voltage. This voltage drop occurs because of the internal resistance of the voltage source.

The purpose of this lower voltage during no-load is twofold. Firstly, it helps to conserve power consumption when there are no devices plugged in, which is cost-effective.
