First off, the show didn’t dub eps 48-63(?) because it’s filler, as in it’s not in the original manga & doesn’t contribute to the story in any way. So it’s skippable. Now for someone who’s somewhat of a completist, I’d wish they’d dubbed the entire thing but it is what it is no harm done.
Now, the show was never licensed by Funi and aired on Crunchyroll subbed only back in the day. The show was dubbed by Ocean in Canada and aired on tv there exclusively. We wouldn’t get the English dub hear until last year for whatever reason but it’s always been talk of it’s existence.
Not trying to bash anyone here but it’s wrong to give low star ratings because of lack of information on the viewer’s part

This review is for the product release. My 2 stars is for the debacle of a release. I very pleased there’s a English dubbed blu ray complete collection but good lord what happened in its development. You have 16 disc of the show but according to the box (which I had to zoom into the photo provided, they obviously did not want anyone to see the back of the box because it shows all the info that sways peoples purchasing decisions) 7 discs are English dubbed version and 9 discs are Japanese version (eng subs). Now apparently only 58 episodes of this entire series is English dubbed. Episodes 1-48 and episodes 64-73 are English dub with English subs option. But ALL the rest are English sub only. More importantly what happened to eps 49-63??!! Why were they not English dubbed? It’s like they skipped over them for some crazy reason. We’re they suppose to go back and finish them but then decided not to? I’m guessing another cash grab scheme to get your money. Release an unfinished product to get the fans’ money they re-release same product at a later date stating that’s it fully complete and uncut/uncensored or something of the like to get the fans to buy it again.
Another perfectly good show with a flawed release. I buy physical copies of whatever shows I really like because even though streaming stuff or digital downloads are convenient, it doesn’t guarantee that show will always be available to stream or download. Countless times I see a show and figure I’ll just come back to the site and watch it again only to realize it’s no longer there due to broadcasting permits/licenses have expired or weren’t renewed. Another show lost forever, but buy a physical copy, dvd or blu ray, then any favorite show can be watch whenever you want and won’t be lost in limbo to never be seen again.
This show could’ve had a much better release. Taking a more time to properly finish a product is ALWAYS greatly appreciated by purchasing consumers. But it’s obvious this was a rush job unless some acceptable reasons are communicated.
