This graphic novel explains some aspects of early Horde history. For me, it was difficult to read due to the way the author constantly jumps from one group of characters to another, and then back again. There are some inconsistencies in the drawings. But overall, it's okay if you like WoW lore.

The book was okay at best. 6/10
Pros:
-The artwork is really detailed and makes it feel like you're reading a fairy tale.
-The characters are well designed.
Cons:
-The book has some rough cuts and if you don't follow closely you can get lost.
-The artwork is detailed BUT...alot of the characters look the same and can confuse the reader. It feels like DC used B level talent for this book.
-The feels like one long action scene. Alot of fight scenes, but no real substance. The characters just kind of exist and move along and fight this group, then move along and fight another group, and then move along and then fight another group. This kind of story structure works for an MMORPG with fetch quests, but not for a comic book that is supposed to provide a compelling story.

For a World of Warcraft story it was fairly weak, especially when compared to the original WoW comic, Ashbringer, or Curse of the Worgen.

I love the book and the "superfriends" group. The book shows the adventure of some characters first introduced on last pages of wow comics issue 4. I want more!

Worth the price. Nice stand alone story. Worth the read especially if youre a fan of the horde. Alliance is better though 😊
