Just like most of the independent Christian Rock bands that have been signed by Tooth and Nail, I have been awaiting Nine Lashes' full length non-independent debut album ever since they got signed by Tooth and Nail. Boy, was it worth the long wait, because Nine Lashes' debut album World We View is already in it for not only Best Christian Album of 2012, but also a tough competitor for Best Album of 2012.

Tooth and Nail had quite a bumpy year in 2011 with mediocre debut artists such as I Am Empire and Hyland. Yeah, they were good, but I didn't really get affected by these two artists in any way. Same goes for Icon for Hire and 7Eventh Time Down (BEC Recordings artist). All of these newcomers had some talent, but overall they didn't really captivate me as much. Nine Lashes is easily the best new Tooth and Nail signee since both The Letter Black and Sent By Ravens, and their debuts were back in the spring of 2010.

My favorite songs on this record are Adrenaline, Our Darkest Day, The Void, and Write It Down, the two previous songs featuring guest vocalists Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch, and Ryan Clark of Demon Hunter, respectively. Trevor McNevan does a fantastic job collaborating with Nine Lashes on the song Adrenaline, only adding to the intensity and strength of this track. Our Darkest Day sounds phenomenal, and adding Ryan Clark's powerful and intense screaming once again makes this track stronger. The rest of the CD is full of power and energy, some I have not seen in a Tooth and Nail artist since Thousand Foot Krutch.

Nine Lashes' sound, to me, has traces of Manic Drive, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Red, 12 Stones, and Linkin Park without the turn-tabling and rapping.

Had their non debut CD and they have gotten even better. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because not every song on the Cd was amazing. Fans of Red, Sent my Ravens, Skillet, should enjoy this album. Really good lyrics, instrumentals have gotten a lot better since their non debut cd. Heard these guys on Blast FM the 1st time. Worth your money!

A fun rock n roll album. I almost never blindly buy an album without listening to it in full before buying. This one I bought without doing so, and I do not regret my actions. This album starts out fast and ends softly. Every song is catchy in its own way. Most debut albums from bands only have a few good songs, Nine Lashes proves this wrong by having an amazing debut album. Best tracks are; Anthem of the Lonely, Memo and Write It Down. An album that is worth grabbing you like Rock N Roll.

Alright, first let me say that this genre of music (christian rock) is MY genre, it's what I listen to (Thousand Foot Krutch is my favorite band). I've heard most of what's available in this genre and only a few of the artists are "real" or actually any good at all. These guys are real.

I bought the CD around tuesday I believe and got the MP3 download, and as soon as I listened to it I haven't stopped listening to it yet (it is now sunday). I've listened to it over and over. It is amazing to me. The fact that Trevor McNevan from Thousand Foot Krutch helped write each of the songs only makes me love it more!!

It came in good time, faster than expected shipping time. I am so glad i bought the "real" cd and not just the mp3 version because the songs in the booklet all have the bible verses that they wrote the song after, and there is also a gospel message. as far as i know, no other artists in this genre do that.

1. Anthem of the Lonely: 5/5 stars: This song is beautifully emotional and powerful. (The music video is amazing as well!). I love everything about it.

2. The Intervention: 5/5 stars: this song took some getting used to, but really it is amazing. I love how he goes falsetto and strong.

3. Get Back: 4/5 stars: this song also took a while to get used to. It just isn't my favorite sound, but still a great song overall.

4. Afterglow: 5/5 stars: this song makes me want to cry. it is beautiful. it is about losing people you love and how you aren't alone even during those hard times. this is one of their slower songs but it is still so powerful.

5. Adrenaline: 5/5 stars: This was the first song i bought off of this album (not realizing i would eventually want the whole album lol!

I heard Anthem of the Lonely on a Pandora station and it stuck in my head. When I saw it pop again one day, I made note and later went to YouTube to listen to the lyric video. I hate music videos, they can ruin a song for me, but I saw the official video in my search and figured I'd give it a try. I plugged in my headphones and watched it on my Kindle and was blown away. I have ended up watching it more times than I care to admit. They did such a great job with it and not only are they an excellent band, they are pretty good actors (and not bad to look at:). After my initial watching, I downloaded the album to my Kindle and ordered the CD for when I'm driving. I can't say that I'm in love with every song but it is a very solid album with a great mix. The lead's voice can be a bit sappy at times which is mildly annoying although when watching him sing, it is not nearly as apparent. They seem like a cool group of dudes and I can see them only getting better with time.
