This is the story of the new world after the conquistadors, it is fascinating; this book has it all, but it is too much for most of us. Hugh Thomas's Rivers of Gold is a far better book but it deals with more interesting stuff- the subjection and conquest of the Spanish new world..
This book takes up where Rivers of Gold left off.
