Ms Markland did a great job on the Montbryce series, but for me, missed the mark on Blaise de Wolfe.
Anne Bryce Smith is a genealogist. Hunting through family histories for those who need it. She can trace her own family back as far as the Vikings who first settled in Normandy. Will she be able to do the same for Blaise, without getting too distracted.?
A lovely way to tie together two marvellous dynasties, and a nice dig into their histories. I love both of these families and will read literally every book about them I can get. I was a little surprised that there wasn't any danger involved.
Hoping to get a grant from an historical society that will enable him to restore and keep his ancestral home, Blaise De Wolfe hires Anne Smith, a professional genealogist to help him prove his lineage. Anne has yet come to terms with the sudden death of her husband, Blaise is still reeling from a failed relationship. Both must learn to trust and love again in order for their relationship to move forward.
Both the plot and characters are well thought out. There are twists in the plot that will keep you turning the page and a real surprise as to Anne's heritage and what the couple discover about the de Wolfe bloodline. No nail biting suspense or violent situations in the story, just a beautiful relationship development. I know you will love HUNGARY LIKE DE WOLFE as much as I did.
